Summary: Our client a global investment bank is looking for a DataStage Senior Risk Developer to join their Risk Management technology group. Will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining the bank's infrastructure in support of RWA and DFAST requirements as related to an FBO BHC/IHC.* Subject-Matter Expert applying technical knowledge to deliver new capabilities and/or resolve problems.* Act as point of contact for RWA ETL engine.* Reports to Director - Head of Risk Management and Regulatory Reporting Applications. THE DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Collaborates with business stakeholders to deliver new capabilities, data, and systems to ensure compliance with Dodd Frank BHC related Risk Management requirements.* Develops/maintain DataStage code in support of RWA Data Mart and Engine.* Designs, develops and maintains code for other requirements i.e,DFAST or Market Risk initiatives.* Tunes ETL jobs and SQL queries for optimization* Interprets written business and functional requirements to produce detailed system requirements specifications, complex data flow diagrams, test plans, swim lane and process diagrams using standardized documentation methods. Works with business leaders to obtain approval for Business Requirements Document (BRD) and project requirements document, as needed.* Creates and executes against well-defined Work Breakdown Structures in project plans.* Works with various application team members to obtain requirements for development work.* Creates Unit Test plans, performs Unit Testing for interface processes developed or modified.* Creates documentation for processes developed and updates documentation for modifications.* Performs peer code reviews including verification of compliance with coding standards and ensures code developed adheres to coding standards and functional / technical specifications.* Coordinates code promotion activities through all SDLC environments and validates that promoted interface code is working as expected.* Assists QA team with identifying QA test cases and supports during QA testing.* Updates team leader and project manager with status of assigned development/project work.* Supports weekend maintenance, technology / business recovery tests and system verification / validation events.* Keeps up-to-date on new features and enhancements of development tools used by the team.* Provides overall guidance to less experienced developers and assists with addressing development issues and bug fixes.* Ensures proposed solutions adhere to all bank standards for code development, deployment, technology direction and change and security policies.* Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and insures issues are minimized through implementation of continuous improvement refinements to the platform.* Provides strong vendor management by resolving issues, maintaining communication, accountability and financial discipline.* Supports RWA including - BHC data mart, DFAST, other Credit or Market Risk ETL implementations required as part of forming a BHC.* Provide ad-hoc research and analysis for business users. THE SKILLS YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB: * 7 to 10 years in Financial Services* 5+ years building DataStage jobs with ability to integrate with various databases (Oracle, SQL Server). Ability to set workflow using DataStage sequence* 2+ years supporting IHC or BHC Risk Management functions: RWA, DFAST, Stressed VaR, FFIEC 102 etc.* IBM InfoSphere DataStage 8.x/9.x/11.x / DataStage certification preferred* Oracle 11g/12c, PL/SQL* Shell Scripting* Microsoft Suite with advance Excel Modeling.* Preferred Software Knowledge: Perforce, UrbanCode* BA/BS degree, MS preferred* Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems is preferred PLUSES: * Knowledge of R and/or SPSS* Familiarity with financial modeling. EXPERTISE INCLUDES: * IBM Quality Stage - ability to develop DataStage Sequencers and Parallel jobs using different stages like Aggregator, Join, Merge, Lookup, Source dataset, External Filter, Row generator, Column Generator, Change Capture, Copy, Funnel, Short, Peek stages, etc.* Understanding of data modeling, indexes, parallel processing and partitioning and strong knowledge of relational and dimensional database concepts. Detailed, thorough, diligent individual with robust data analysis, data profiling skills.* Developing both server and parallel jobs running on a Unix platform against relational databases (i.e. Oracle or SQL Server systems) as source and target data environment.* Unix scripting and familiarity: TWS or other scheduling software.* Risk related regulations as they relate to Credit, Market and Liquidity Risk* Exposure to DFA: including Section 165 Regulation YY and Basel III* Excellent analytical skills, resilient under pressure and tight timelines and able to deal with complexity and respond quickly to uncertainty.* All phases of a full project life cycle, including design.* Solid verbal/written skills for communicating requirements to business and technology partners.* Experience in IT Strategy and Architecture planning a plus - provided by Dice
