Job Description Section I: Scope Information Technology Services (ITS) is an energetic & results-driven department dedicated to being a valued strategic partner by providing exceptional technology services in alignment with the mission and goals of Manhattan College. ITS works to foster strong relationships with coworkers and our end user community through effective communication, collaboration, and consensus building. Section II: Responsibilities Reports to: Director of Enterprise Applications Supervises: No Responsibilities: The IT Analyst/Programmer level 1 will be tasked with providing technical support (and functional support where appropriate) for the colleges ERP system and its ancillary solution set. Experience with integration of enterprise applications (including Banner) and other 3rd-party applications by using APIs and or web services protocols (ie XML, SOAP, etc) is highly desirable. Experience in programming and scripting using tools such as SQL, Perl, Java, PHP, C++, JSON is highly desirable. Design, develop, test, debug standard and complex queries against the Oracle database. Ability to modify existing programs, procedures and packages. Analyze user application /programming requests and develop/recommend solutions and time estimates. Has intermediate knowledge of the Banner tables for the assigned area of support. Work on special projects/tasks and other additional duties as assigned. Section III: Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor degree in computer science or similar discipline or equivalent amount of experience in lieu of a degree required. Four years experience with enterprise applications in a higher education environment preferred. Knowledge of; relational database management systems, SQL development (Oracle), API integrations, integration experience with SOAP/REST APIs, Single Sign-on methodologies, Knowledge and experience with Banner ERP preferred, Excellent interpersonal, communications, analytical and problem solving skills, Excellent organization skills and the ability to set priorities and keep deadlines, Ability to work independently on multiple assignments and to work collaboratively within a team, Desire for continuous learning, Understanding of how technology plays a role in the colleges strategic direction.
