Overview
The main purpose of the role is to provide technical onsite support in the event spaces and conference and meeting rooms. You will have exposure to a multitude of technologies in the audio visual and video conference arena including meeting room, events, video conference scheduling and live streaming services.
Responsibilities
Configuration and Management of Meeting Room Technology, including Zoom / Cisco / Robin / Polycom / Brightsign
Collaboration with current Telephony engineer and transfer of skills including managing of Five9s and Hosted SIP platforms
Setup/operation of integrated events spaces including high profile auditorium-based results presentations and town halls
Prepare equipment for future events and meetings as required
Design of new meeting rooms and planning of office space for VC use
Locate faults and provide resolutions i.e. Fix/replace/upgrade hardware when relevant in support of the AV & VC facilities
1st /2nd line repairs & on-going preventative maintenance including daily checks on all equipment in all offices
Audio Visual support to other areas of the business when required; this could be setting up PA's or assisting with presentations in meeting rooms
Liaison with help desk & operations team to arrange backup support when required
Advises, as Video Conference Subject Matter Expert, the Infrastructure Manager & VP, Infrastructure & Services , regarding technical standards, architectures, procurement responses to vendors, specification and service delivery
Provide Knowledge transfer to the IT team.
Proactively train and support end users as required
Locate faults and provide first fix resolutions i.e. fix /loan equipment where appropriate
Assist with high level audio/visual quality of presentations - optimization of content aspect ratios/resolutions and file formats to suit space
Qualifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
To be an ambassador - approach and professionalism is extremely important
Have the ability to work in a team in addition to being a sole technical resource
Customer service skills are essential along with the ability to work calmly under pressure and resolve any issues quickly and professionally
To be very presentable and able to liaise with senior executives in a calm and professional manner at all times both face to face and via the telephone
Administration necessary to support the role utilising Microsoft office applications, ticketing systems and room booking software.
Ability to produce Technical Guides and Documentation of the Meeting Room Technology environment
To be fully competent with all installed & portable technologies
