We are seeking a strong Sr. Human Resource Generalist with at least 8 years of documented Human Resource experience with knowledge in labor laws, along with advanced HR skills gained through relevant work experience. We are looking to complement our team with a shared strong work ethic and the drive to succeed. Youll undertake a wide range of generalist duties as described below. You should be well versed with ADP Payroll and other HR Systems with mid-expert MS Word and Excel skills. This role will be an essential contributor to our success: trusted, empowered and supported to make a lasting impact on the future of our business.
General Responsibilities
  • Human Resources Business partner for our corporate headquarters and northeast fulfillment center
  • Know where to focus your energy and influence so that it is meaningful and has business impact
  • Know the key business drivers and support mid-level management with effective HR support and advice
  • Investigate, recommend action and resolve employee relations, employee performance concerns and issues
  • Investigate, recommend, action and resolve employee complaints/concerns
  • Monitors HR processes for effectiveness and makes recommendations for streamlining processes
  • Expert knowledge of ADP HRIS/Payroll. Partner with Payroll Administrator in all aspects of payroll, time and attendance and reporting
  • Responsible for the full life cycle of the HR process including employee hiring process, new employee orientation and employee exits
  • Support annual performance management review process utilizing online system; assist managers and employees with administration of annual evaluations and goals
  • Expert knowledge of benefits administration to include ACA reporting
  • Mid high level knowledge of administering leaves of absence to include FMLA, STD/LTD. ADA, Workers Compensation, COBRA, FLSA, and other employment related laws.
  • Responsible for HR database and records management
  • Assist employees with Human Resource software and systems issues.
  • Manage and oversee annual benefit and ancillary open enrollment
  • Responsible for all technical aspects of Human Resources management including all legislative/governmental mandates, leave and benefits administration, compliance, and best practices and maintain company compliance
  • Stay up to date on all applicable local, state and federal HR laws and protocol
  • Maintain Employee Handbook and oversee employment-related policies
  • Advise HR Director of compliance issues and solutions, update policies or processes and coordinate training as needed
  • Exercise knowledge of HR policies, Laws and procedures to help resolve employee concerns and questions
  • Champion of companys core values
  • Maintain personnel files and org chart
  • Work closely with HR Director and employees to improve work relationships, employee engagement, build morale, increase productivity and retention

Human Resources Generalist Requirements
  • Self-motivated and able to work with little supervision, who consistently take the initiative to get things done, do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
  • Anticipate cyclical Human Resources initiatives and develop a strong operating system
  • Ability to artfully convey even subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience

  • Detail work is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, correctly, and efficiently

  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High level knowledge of HRIS Systems and processes
  • Able to work at a level of detail that will result in accurate record keeping and reporting

Education Skills, And Experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 8 (+) years of progressive experience in Human Resources
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification preferred not required.
  • Proficient in working with systems to include ADP Workforce Now
  • Mid-expert level MS Office
