The AbbVie Experiential Internship Program
As an AbbVie Experiential Intern, you'll participate in a paid, ten to twelve-week summer program that is focused on providing students with robust projects throughout the summer. As an intern, you will be located at our corporate headquarters in north suburban Chicago, with housing and shuttle services for eligible students.
Department Overview CMC Quality Assurance
Deliver quality innovative products to patients, by providing global QA product oversight and key knowledge transfer to commercial product stakeholders, through diverse expertise, broad business knowledge, and cross functional partnerships.
Coach and consult suppliers of new products to ensure commercial readiness
Drive a seamless product transfer process to commercial sites
Ensure commercially viable submissions and control strategy through compliance and technical evaluation
Leverage global intelligence to enable quality and regulatory risk mitigation
Strengthen related quality systems to ensure efficient and compliant new product realization.
Integrate leading knowledge management methods and tools to promote efficiencies and a collaborative culture
Summarizes, visualizes, and evaluates data for trends that may impact quality system and/or pharmaceutical products.Uses analysis to identify potential solutions. Communicates the proposed solutions to senior personnel and product owners.
Executes systems and procedures efficiently and compliantly and evaluates systems for improvement potential. Develops and uses standard practices to ensure consistency.
Maintains relationships and open communication with partners to maintain roles and responsibilities, identify potential issues, provide input on concerns, and obtain an understanding of the quality system and how it supports the product and patients.
Completes work according to established priorities, policies, practices and procedures to assure project is delivered on schedule.
Contributes to Quality Assurance elements needed to facilitate new product launches.
Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship
Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship
Undergraduate student majoring in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Quality Assurance
Minimum Cumulative GPA: 3.0/4.0
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated).
