General Description: Responsible for specimen procurement services at all client facilities within the North and South geographic area. Directs the activities of phlebotomy, diagnostic imaging personnel, and couriers assigned to those facilities. Ensures that all draws/exams are completed on schedule and in accordance with company standards. Interfaces with Regional Supervisor/QA Supervisor and Customer Service to ensure complete satisfaction as required.

Job Role: Staffing Recommends staffing levels to Regional Supervisor based on volume and anticipated new clients and/or loss of.Ensures all assignments have proper coverage.Establishes procurement routes to meet client needs and requirements in the most efficient and cost effective manner.Assigns and ensures phlebotomists, diagnostic imaging personnel, and couriers tasks within established routes.Consults with other supervisors with regards to the need to utilize shared employees (e.g. Accessioning) Department Procedures Monitors performance of personnel assigned and recommends in-servicing and disciplinary action for those who fail to meet company standards by informing Regional Supervisor.Reviews assigned personnel hours and compares hours to work assigned to ensure accurate time and record keeping.Informs assigned personnel of any missing punches and/or discrepancies found in time-keeping reports. Also notifies the Regional Supervisor of the aforementioned.Monitors and limits additional costs, such as overtime costs.Ensures all hours and assignments are distributed fairly while ensuring efficient turn-around time.Ensures all facilities and assignments arrive to headquarters by checking Labgen and other reports.Ensures all Stats, timed draws, Image and daily scheduled assignments including specimen pick-ups are completed in a timely mannerEnsures all assignments arrive in a timely manner and reports any issues to Regional Supervisor.Ensures Comet tracker and all other applicable systems are updated prior to the end of their shiftsEnsures any pending and incomplete work is documented and passed on to the next shift.Communicates with Client/Customer Service if in the event a call-out will result in untimely blood draws or if it may be required to reschedule fasting tests. Documentation Ensures all reported absences are documented and submitted to Regional Supervisor in a timely manner. All documentation must state the date and time of notification, reason of absence and if any documentation was supplied.Ensures all UTO, Redraws, etc. are reassigned, monitored and tracked per protocol on a daily basis.Ensures proper documentation of work hours, such as, reviewing mileage sheets and punches for accuracy regarding attendance, productivity, and efficient use of time and mileage.Conveys time records to Regional Supervisor.Communicates all violations, follow-up, concerns, etc. to Regional Supervisor. Compliance Is familiar with all protocols regarding Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Control Plan and related job requirements, including needlestick-reporting and documentation, as well as other job related accidents.Is familiar with all protocols and procedures (i.e. Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure).Ensures adequate phlebotomy supplies are maintained at all times.Ensures all employees adhere to all Corporate Policies and Procedures and Operating procedures.Ensures timely reporting of incidents and accidents (e.g. Needlestick Protocol) and proper documentation associated with each is filed in a timely manner.Ensures all newly hired employees follow appropriate training protocol.Ensures all newly hired employees follow Aculabs Performance Standards and monitors their adherence to same.Ensures all client complaints received are brought to the attention of the appropriate Customer Service Representative, Q.A. Supervisor and Regional Supervisor. Other Responsibilities Maintains excellent attendance to ensure responsibilities are met.Must be flexible with schedule changes and hours. Position requires occasional late night and/or weekend hours to handle emergencies or unusual situations.
Requirements: Job Requirements Dispatcher will be issued a company phone which must remain on at all times.Successful completion of grammar exam (80% and above) and color-blind exam. (Skills and competency will be tested prior to start date.)Must possess thorough knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)Must possess thorough knowledge of Aculabs software and computer systems.Must lead by example. Must follow all Company, Phlebotomy, and Safety Policies and Procedures, OSHA, and HIPAA standards AT ALL TIMES. Education/Experience Requires high school or equivalent education. 2-3 years experience in medical Front Office or administrative experience or training in a hospital, laboratory, or doctor s office.Some supervisory experience preferred.Must possess excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette, knowledge or medical terminology, procedure, and diagnosis coding.Must be familiar with commonly used computer software- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, etc.
