Job Description

Preferred Locations: Hartford, CT, Blue Bell, PA, Downers Grove, IL. Internal office based candidates can remain in their current work situation.

The RTE facilitates ART processes and execution. They escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and help drive relentless improvement. RTEs participate in the Lean-Agile transformation, coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in those processes and mindsets.

Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:

+ Ensure effective operations across the 2-10 scrum teams aligned to the ART to ensure high-quality business value is delivered. Train-wide processes include:

+ Preparation for and facilitation of Train meetings and processes, including ART sync, Inspect & adapt, and quarterly release planning activities in Hartford, CT

+ Identify and pursue opportunities to fine-tune and improve Train execution; recommend enhancements related to new and/or existing workflows based on broad view of the organization and a Lean Agile mindset

+ Provide thought leadership and expertise across the team and with internal and external train partners in achieving their commitments through issue, risk and dependency management

+ Identify and drive efficiencies and best practices to ensure sound economic decisions made across the trains budget and time allocations

+ Demonstrate servant leadership by supporting teams in problem identification and decision-making

+ Manage and maintain train-level dashboard reporting to track execution for the team, train, and program leadership using tools like CA Agile Central

+ Coach teams and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and thinking to elevate the trains application of SAFe, creating an environment of mutual influence

+ SAFe 4.5

+ Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

+ Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:

+ Five years of Agile leadership experience with proven Agile and facilitation skills

+ Experience with Agile methodologies; Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program consultant (SPC) or Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification strongly preferred, some level of SAFe certification required

+ Experience with consumer-facing digital products, cloud platform technology, and/or advanced analytics enabled products is desired

+ Strong meeting facilitation skills

+ Strong analytical, oral and written communication, presentation skills; Advanced MS Office skills

+ Ability to navigate through ambiguity, set direction, and influence those not under direct line of management

+ Technical aptitude to support programs use of work management and collaboration tools
