Current opportunities for Assistant Managers!o Full time o Must have NYS Driver Licenseo Must be able to work a flexible scheduleThe Assistant Manager is responsible for collaborating with the management team on aspects of the operation of the community residential program (ICF/IRA or Supportive Apartment) for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (PWI/DD). The Assistant Manager fulfills these responsibilities through the activities of the staff under his/her supervision. Therefore, the major responsibilities of the Assistant Manager include the training and supervision activities that are necessary to ensure that direct care staff are trained and monitored in all aspects of residential care and treatment, including the safe operation of the facility.
Honesty, integrity, creativity, motivation, a sense of humor, lots of flexibility, tenacity, the ability to lead and supervise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, patience, the ability to deal with emergencies as they arise. THIS IS NOT A Mon-Fri, 9-5 JOB! Our residences operate 24-Hrs a day. Qualified candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule. Days off are Friday/Saturday or Sunday/Monday. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; a degree from a 2 or 4 year college or university desired 12 to 18 months related experience working with people with Intellectual and developmental disabilities and/or training desiredThe ability to use a computer. A valid driver's license is required!
