Position Introduction:
The Strategy & Operations Manager for will help us define and deliver the next generation of B2B solutions for the world's small and medium businesses. As the market leader in a $600B market Alibaba is transforming into a new multi-trillion-dollar global commerce ecosystem. In this role, you'll apply rigorous strategic, product, and marketing thinking to improve the design, experience, and adoption of business operations across payments, lending, order protection, shipping, logistics, and fulfillment.

As a member of the Alibaba.com North America team you will work to empower modern global trade for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). We are looking for a dynamic, brilliant, and kind leader to join our International B2B Operations team: a small, cross-functional squad of entrepreneurs who use local user research, design thinking, and strategic innovation to collaborate with Alibaba's engineering, product, and operations teams in China. Together we're re-imagining and growing Alibaba's cross-border B2B products and services to meet the needs of millions of US SMEs.

Responsibilities:

1. Understanding business goals, synthesizing market data and research, and delivering well-scoped strategic business plans
2. Leading a cross-departmental team of senior practitioners to build and update a portfolio of international B2B products, services, and marketing programs in the US
3. Establishing cross-border relationships with an international operating team (primarily based in Hangzhou, China), engendering trust via strategic transparency, exemplary performance, and a committed focus on delivering strategically-significant results
4. Communicating goals and plans clearly and effectively, eliciting useful feedback, building enthusiasm, and getting agreement from partners distributed across multiple organizations
5. Defining, analyzing, and owning critical metrics, including behavioral and performance data and other critical metrics
