Location: Align North American Headquarters, Morrisville, NC
Align is the industry leader and innovator in medical devices which focuses on revolutionizing the dental and orthodontic industry. Align is looking for a Director of Commercial Education Strategy. This role will report to the Sr. Director of Education.
The Director of Commercial Education Strategy is responsible for leading the development of the North America education strategy for Align Technology and directing the delivery of all associated programs across the region. This individual will oversee the design and development of courses, curriculum, learning strategies and content for targeted customer segments including General Dentists, Orthodontist, Dental Service Organizations and Universities.
The Director will collaborate with internal and external stakeholder to align on priorities and deliverables, ensuring a high degree of content & execution consistency. The Director will also shape the integration of immersive technologies and different learning modalities into the overall education strategy.
Responsibilities:
* Establish the overarching vision for Align's education strategy including setting short and long-term goals and evaluating and reporting on goals.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Commercial Operations and IT to understand business/marketing objectives.
* Develop high-level relationships with customers and Subject Matter Experts to ensure strategy efficacy.
* Assess business and education needs in North America and develop strategies to build Align capabilities in order to achieve business results.
* Direct content development for all channels and ensure seamless hand-off to execution partners.
* Oversees the development of all University learning curriculum
* Maintain market leadership position in education by understanding the competitive landscape
* Create and conceptualize new education and learning strategies to drive revenue for sales team
* Work in partnership with the Product and Platform team to design and deliver exceptional content
* Direct management of a team of professionals who will handle and execute channel specific tactics and relationships
* Recruit, on-board, and continuously develop all team members
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree is required, advanced degree is preferred
* 10+ years direct management experience, leading and developing teams
* 3+ years successfully managing a team of employees
* Ability to develop and lead a team across a matrix organization
* Proven ability to manage and meet deadlines with multiple projects concurrently
* Instructional Design expertise with clinical curriculum is preferred
* Strong influence management and communications skills is required
* Proven ability to understand business strategy; successfully translate/execute into training that support the company's WW business goals is required
* Understanding of different technology mediums/innovations to advance education delivery
* Ensure metrics collaboration to measure effectiveness of training to improve sales performance is required
