As a Market Director of Sales for our Charlotte office, YOU will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of strategic solution-oriented sales plans for assigned markets. You will manage, lead, coach and mentor the sales team for your office. You will execute and manage and lead the APC account plan strategy. You will identify and qualify Information Technology, Marketing, Business and/or Engineering consulting and staffing opportunities, work with APC’s recruiting staff to align with the clients’ needs. You will also build on existing business, as well as obtain and pursue leads through avenues including networking, references, and cold calling. This is an external sales position. What you’ll do: Marketing Develop strategic solution-oriented sales plans for target markets with Vice President of Sales, to maximize profitable business. Identify prospects, gather client information, and develop sales strategy to secure new business. Meet regularly with management to review sales efforts to ensure the proper focus and success in meeting and exceeding sales gross profit targets. Client & Team Interaction Manage / Lead sales team strategy, activity and execution Recruit, Hire, Train and Develop sales reps. Seek out new sales opportunities with potential clients and support prospecting efforts of the team. Maintain and improve existing client relationships, expand their revenue base, and seek referrals from them. Give presentations and proposals, perform competitive analysis and follow up activity coordinated within the sales plan. Sell strategic service offerings/solutions and negotiate pricing strategy and contract terms as determined by management. Function as primary sales resource and communicate the detailed candidate requirements with the assigned Recruiter(s). Work closely with the Director of Service Delivery to identify types of business the sales team is most likely to fill successfully and promote recruiting a pipeline of highly desirable candidates to place with target accounts. Administration Document and keep update pertinent information in ATS. Obtain signed Client contracts needed by APC General Counsel. Provide updated Sales Forecasts monthly. As a Market Director of Sales , you must possess: Experience that demonstrates a strong understanding of technical/professional IT or Marketing or Solutions services industry. Minimum of 5 years of proven outside direct sales experience with focus in staffing sales and maintaining strong relationships with both clients and billable staff. Knowledge and experience in one of more of the following industries/disciplines: IT, Engineering, Financial, Government, and Utilities. Proven ability to lead and manage sales teams. Proven ability to develop, implement and execute market specific sales strategies. Proven ability to identify, prospect, and secure business opportunities to support new revenue growth for specific geographic areas, industries, or accounts. Proven ability to establish and build relationships quickly within all levels of management within client accounts. Ability to work effectively in team environments. Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience is required. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, strong emphasis on the ability to listen and present appropriate solutions, follow-up, negotiation, and closing skills. PC and Internet skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
