Heart Challenge has four distinct campaign pillars: Heart Walk, CycleNation, Field Day and Fit Challenge. The Heart Challenge team works together to achieve the overall vision and goals. As the Heart Challenge Program Director, you will be part of a dynamic national team of fundraising leaders, responsible for the strategic direction and positive revenue growth of the Heart Challenge campaign. The Heart Challenge pillars are currently raising $135M in revenue and with your unique skills with one pillar, Heart Walk, being the second largest peer to peer fundraising campaign in the industry.

As a member of the National Heart Challenge team, you will help us ensure campaign management, customer experience and product development strategies will bring excitement and energy to American Heart Association field staff and corporate partners across the country.

In addition, you will work with region and market leaders to deliver successful implementation of our core strategies through training, strategic consultation and collaboration. Through this important alignment, you will help our regions and events focus on the highest impact priorities in order to achieve goals while balancing a strategic (big picture) focus with day-to-day activities.

In this role you report to the National Director- Heart Challenge.

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a **National Heart Challenge Program Director,** who can be based anywhere in the United States. The primary responsibility of the Director, in partnership with region leadership and SVP/Executive Directors, will be to drive accelerated mission and revenue growth Some of the responsibilities include:

Essential Job Duties:

+ Ensure that region financial goals are achieved, and strategic priorities are aligned with those of the association

+ Help regions and markets focus on the highest impact priorities in order to drive goal achievement, while effectively balancing a strategic (bigpicture) focus with day-to-day execution

+ Monitor and analyze external and internal trends and develop benchmarks, best practices, priorities and focus areas for top markets

+ Develop and implement the overall strategic direction and any project management for campaign pillars.

+ Work with internal and external partners to develop strategies to significantly increase AHA's revenue and mission impact

+ Develop and execute the field marketing playbook and execution in areas such as corporate recruitment, peer-to-peer revenue growth, volunteer leadership development, customer experience and campaign analysis for the National Heart Walk Team.

+ Bachelor's degree

+ 2+ years' experience in a similar role or in a role leading a similar campaign with year over year growth

+ Proven record of success in peer-to-peer fundraising

+ Skilled in oral and written communications

+ Ability to get along with all levels of staff

+ Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

+ Strong customer service skills

+ Skilled in planning projects and working against deadlines to provide end product

+ Knowledge of Blackbaud Event Management System

+ Ability to travel overnight up to 40%
