Under direct supervision, appraisesvehicles in a Drive-in Claim Center and potential limited field appraisalswhich have sustained general damages. Accurately accesses damages using companyrecognized resources and estimating and evaluation software.
Examines first and third party vehicle damage in a timely manner; takes pictures and prepares an automated written appraisal to determine and verify the extent of damage.
Provides the highest level of service and value to the customer.
Participates in a program of self-education through observing repair work and keeping abreast of new repair techniques and procedures.
Maintains a current list of specialty repair shops (glass, trim, frame, tires) and used part suppliers, and uses these firms whenever applicable to provide reduced repair costs.
Submits a monthly report of assignments to the team manager.
May need to work flexible work hours including some Saturday s, willingness to work at different locations and support CAT team when needed.
Participates in special projects or training assignments.
Performs other related duties as required
Education equivalent to an associates degree, or high school diploma supplemented by educational course work in auto or engine repair, or the equivalent in related work experience.
Demonstrates mastery of all skill requirements of the ADA position.
Demonstrates effective and diplomatic oral and written communication and negotiation skills.
Exhibits exceptional customer service, collaboration and time management skills.
Ability to successfully complete educational requirements and pass MA appraiser licensing exam within defined timeframe.
Successfully completes required in-house training, participates in on-site training at repair shops, and completes required industry training and certifications.
Maintains a valid driver s license in good standing.
