The manager of the Head of Cloud Distributed and Integration team works within the Technical Technology Office and he/she is accountable to define the vision and the path to transform AXA infrastructures into a level similar to Tech-Led Companies. Creation of this vision and transformation path are done in close collaboration with product teams. This will include the definition and management of technology strategy, technical choices and high level architectures of Cloud, Distriubted and Integration technical products.. His/her domain of exercise is:. * Public and private cloud as a key AXA strategic element of tech led strategy,. * Distributed which includes compute, software, storage, Mainframe and Database. * Integration (in construction) which includes EIP, ESG, global API, Orchestration, Scheduling and overall Management & Monitoring services.. First and foremost, in a collaborative approach leveraging sponsors, stakeholders and communities (product, chapters, entities, security, developers, market providers ...), head of CDI owns the overall and per component vision. In this role, he/she will contribute significantly during the first phase of AXA gating process (Gate 0: idea till Gate 1: vision & strategy).. Secondly, the head of CDI leads the lifecycle of technology choice and is a key decision maker on architecture using and animating governance to move from vision to implementation. For this phase, he/she will be in strong support of the Product / Program manager that will deliver the Gate 2 (commitment on solution, timing and budget). And later on in the lyfecycle will coordinate and engage his/her team in all architectural steps required from Gate 2 to Gate 4 and subsequent refresh/decommissioning activity.. He/she will lead and the team have a key role in participating in key the initiatives of the domain to guarantee transversal coordination: feasibility studies, opportunity studies, business case, major contract negotiation or position papers; should it be for Group Operations products but also for OpCo questions. They finally provide architecture support and consultancy where needed by products.. The head of CDI is one of the key actors in necessary to communicate the vision, evangelize stakeholders and represent Technology Office. This needs to be done through clear leadership, vision and communication. This includes represents AXA IT with our key vendors, partners and internal collegues.. * Main Activities. Provides infrastructure technology vision, leadership and standardization and this in close relation with product head cloud, distributed and Integration:. o Formalizes and writes the vision: executive notes, evangelization deck, strategy document .... o Defines Cloud, distributed and integration Product Technology Strategy in support of Group IT strategy. o Owns and defines the cloud, distributed and integration content of the Group Target Archtiecture. o Approves and contributes to end-to-end solution design in collaboration with Product Engineering to provide the overall product architecture, and ensure that its design is consistent with Group Operations standards and good practices. o Facilitates collaboration and knowledge sharing between technical experts within AXA Service. * Defines design patterns:. o Determines Technical Infrastructure designs/evolutions required jointly with Product Engineering teams. This includes the delivery of product blueprints, High-Level Designs and contribution to Low-Level Designs. o Minimizes technical complexity and identifies convergence opportunities. * Manages and contributes to Product Governance & Architecture Community. o Contributes to product governance bodies for architecture related matters. o Ensures the coordination between product governance bodies and Architecture dedicated governance bodies. o Organizes, governs and animates Architecture gevernance bodies and architecture communities (with special focus on cloud architect community). o Supports Cloud Product Technology governance for Architecture related matters. o Attends product and community meetings and events. o Provides feedback on community structure, tools and content to aid in continuous improvement. * Watches market and maintain strategic vendors relationship. o Leads relationship with strategic vendors for architecture related matters in relationship with Procurement, Product Engineering teams and Operations. o Ensures follow-up for architecture matters with strategic vendors. o Provides a key presence within the broader industry through close strategic vendor relationships and industry standards setting bodies.. Experience. * University degree (engineer profile) with > 15 years experience (IT, large global programs, International landscape), including management of a Technical Services organization or equivalent. * Must exhibit a strong understanding of today's computing challenges and trends, mostly at Infrastructure and Technical levels. Application and Information Architecture knowledge in AXA's businesses would be a plus.. * Must have experience in driving large architecture, standardization & transformation initiatives. * Established and demonstrably productive technical relationships with major IT vendors. * Proven ability to thrive in a matrixed, multi-cultural and global environment. Strategic thinking. * Articulates a multi-dimensional (cultures, languages, geographical locations, business contexts) thinking in order to develop a vision and a strategy. * Has a deep understanding of organizational structures, in order to be in a position to better identify improvement points. * Has Analytical, logical and interpretive ability at a management level to interpret scenarios, express concepts or models with several dimensions: architecture, Business Cases, procurement, program approach .... * Recommends strategic scenarios relevant to complexity, scope, risk and magnitude of the solving problem. * Delivers a strategic vision for the product evolution and foster vision buy-in.. * Drives Cloud Product Technology Strategy in support of AXA Service strategy.. * Ensures Product's architecture remains consistent with AXA Service standards and good practices.. * Determines Technical Infrastructure designs/evolutions required jointly with Product Engineering teams. This includes the delivery of product blueprints, High-Level Designs and contribution to Low-Level Designs.. * Ensures the execution of the architecture deliverables within the governance of strategic programs/Products.. * IS accountable for his/her domain's governance and contributes to product governance bodies & architecture community.. * Leads relationship with strategic vendors for architecture related matters in relationship with Procurement, Product Engineering teams and Operations.. * Acts as a reference for oversight on cloud market dynamics and future Cloud market trends, this includes also the product technical components.. * Deals with very high level of complexity as he/she will address all technology domains and ensure the right balance between long term and short term goals/benefits. All this while looking at the global dimension of AXA and Group IT and working successfully with executives at Group IT, OpCo and Group levels.. * Management: To achieve his main responsibilities, the head of Cloud Distributed and integration relies on a core team of 5 to 8 architects and some external expertise . He or she also relies on the technical expert teams in AXA Services (especially products) and OpCo IT teams to contribute to the Global deliverables.. * Creates a working environment for testing and developing new ways of working and collaboration spirit, as a role model for other teams. * Empowers team by providing sufficient guidance, by delegating and trusting them on their accountabilities but by still remaining available for advice and help. * Builds and hires the relevant team to take those challenges. * Recognizes potential leaders and provides them with challenging assignments/stretch goals. * Can effectively mentor others to acquire this competency. * Add project, program management, gating principles and standards to the initiatives. Requires deep understanding of the cloud technology and market practices with very good/established level of expertise.. Architecture & Strategy:. Good expertise in the practice of Architecture: frameworks (TOGAF, Archimate, ...) to deliver a holistic view. Understanding of the current AXA Service Product business model as an Cloud product provider and ability to communicate at all levels regarding the key components of the model.. Program & Project management :. Strong/proven ability to deliver global programs relying on resources in multiple countries. Strong ability to balance risk and investment when designing technical architectures. Able to provide leadership and to establish credibility both internally, with our customer and within the marketplace. Able to develop and promote new concepts versus following existing processes. Ability to foresee the future technology trends and their impact on AXA & AXA Service while remaining realistic. Ability to influence & negotiate with partners, customers, and internally.. Communication skills (both oral and written) to develop and deliver the key AXA Service messages for our customer, partners and internally.
