AXA Equitable is growing its Actuarial and Risk functions on its journey to becoming a standalone US company. We are seeking actuaries who will thrive in a fast-changing environment involving one of the most complex product portfolios in the industry. The Senior Actuary, Regulatory & Actuarial Methodology position within the Regulatory & Actuarial Methodology team will support the Company's efforts to monitor, interpret and adopt key regulatory developments in the life insurance industry regarding US GAAP, Statutory, Tax and RBC valuation frameworks. The position reports to the Lead Director, Head of Regulatory & Actuarial Methodology and will collaborate with other Regulatory & Methodology team members and internal stakeholders across the company. The Senior Actuary, Regulatory & Actuarial Methodology is accountable for monitoring and interpreting regulatory developments regarding US GAAP, Statutory, Tax and RBC requirements as well as documenting and communicating these requirements to key internal stakeholders. Responsibilities include: Monitor and interpret key regulatory developments across the life industry regarding GAAP, Statutory, Tax and RBC valuation frameworks. Define company methodology and practices around key pieces of new regulatory requirements, including VM-20, VM-21, VM-22 and FASB Long Duration Targeted Improvements. Represent the Company in various industry venues (ACLI subcommittees etc.) Lead and contribute to the development of strong actuarial documentation regarding GAAP, Statutory, Tax and RBC methodologies for both emerging and existing requirements. Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to ensure methodology is appropriately reflected across the Company. Support training of the Company's actuaries on regulatory updates and how they will affect the Company.
