Your tasks and responsibilities The primary responsibilities of this role, Director Marketing TKI- US Oncology, are to: Ensure the effective marketing of TKI by leading the organization to develop marketing strategy and plans to attain therapeutic area sales and profit targets; Be responsible for oversight of marketing strategy and implementation, new indication launches (if applicable), product growth and lifecycle management of products; Contribute to the overall global strategic marketing plan for the brand; Achieve on or above budget performance for the TKI brand by establishing the budget and monitoring performance against it in all areas of marketing; Ensure the development of effective marketing strategies and programs for a therapeutic area by providing analytical and strategic leadership and by directing the product management teams; Provide clarification of marketing strategy and ensure others' buy-in and understanding; Direct, plan and formulate market development and product promotion plans, budgets, programs and objectives for assigned products, prepare sales forecast for use by Product Supply in accurately estimating product requirements and inventory control; Attract, develop and retain a motivated, competent marketing staff and prepare staff to meet the current and future needs of the business; Establish broad direction and clarity of desired outcomes, but allow direct reports to determine the specific steps which will be necessary to achieve results; Be thoughtful in determining staff assignments, with an eye toward what individuals can learn from one another in the process; Seek out opportunities to expose staff to the thinking and strategy development occurring at higher levels in the organization, so that they have a broader context within which to operate; Focus specific reward and recognition efforts on retaining high potential, top talent within the marketing department; Regularly communicate with other departments to get customer feedback about how the marketing group can better serve their needs and still yield mutual success; Continuously reinforce the importance of focusing on understanding and meeting external customer needs as the foundation of maintaining competitiveness as an organization; Ensure alignment of all efforts with the broader strategic direction of Bayer Pharm NA (and global where appropriate); Direct the development of advertising and promotional activities of the outside agencies and services involved in developing and implementing assigned product group advertising and promotional products; Direct activities, preparation, planning and implementation of conventions, conferences in order to assist the promotion of Bayer Pharmaceuticals, its image and its products; Contribute to the introduction of successful new indications by maintaining continuous communication with Research and Product Development and by communicating needs of the USA marketplace in the development process; Understand the therapeutic area market trends and assure the formation of strong promotional alliances to optimize the therapeutic area's broad marketing impact. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required Qualifications: B.S. or B.A. A minimum of 12 years of relevant pharmaceutical experience in roles of increasing responsibility and scope including brand management or marketing responsibilities (Equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered); Experience in Oncology Marketing preferred; US marketing experience required Life cycle management experience is a plus; Demonstrated leadership and career development skills; Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Flexibility to travel: 25-30% (domestic travel). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Oncology Marketing preferred; M.B.A. or advanced degree.Salary Range: NAMinimum Qualification11 - 15 years
