Baystate Health is seeking a Food Service Liason for a part time position.

What You Will Do:

The Food Service Liaison (Liaison) facilitates intra and inter department communications, processes patient menu selections and troubleshoots patient meal related problems that may arise. In addition, the Liaison is responsible for training new employees on the use of electronic medical records and dietary computer applications.

  • May be required to assume leadership role when necessary.
  • Facilitate communicaiton between nursing, Fodd and Nutrition Department and the Call Center.
  • Initiate and documents service recovery.
  • Process Adult Partial Treatment Unit (APTU) meals and assigned non-select meals.
  • Troubleshoot patient meal related problems.
  • Retrieve, review and enters necessary patient information from CIS and CBord as needed.
  • Print and appropriately process CBord reports.
  • Perform Formula Technician duties when necessary.
  • Utilize critical thinking to address problems and situation.
  • Conduct and oversee new employee training.

What You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Previous food service and/or healthcare experience, customer service experience required.

Skills/Competencies:

  • Ability to speak, write and comprehend English.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to follow directions.

What You Need To Know:

  • This is a part time (16 hours weekly) position, covering first shift hours.
  • This position requires weekend and holiday availability.
  • Location: Baystate Medical Center, Springfield MA.
