Kaplan is hiring a Senior Graphic Designer. The person in this role will be responsible for:

  • Work closely with Creative Director on conceptualizing, developing, and refining dynamic creative solutions and content

  • Must exhibit outstanding design judgment and work collaboratively with the writing and design team in achieving the highest possible standards for all materials requiring design across multiple mediums.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, negotiate timing, utilize resources, identify and address project needs, and meet deadlines

  • Will be accountable for the final development of creative assets and ensuring accuracy, attention to details and meets or exceeds the design objectives.

  • Work alongside a larger group of Kaplan creatives but be responsible for the output of the a specific business group's needs.

Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth creative research and exploration on each project to fully understand brand needs and challenges

  • Concept BIG ideas in line with business objectives and present ideas in a clear and concise manner that align with specific traits of each audience

  • Balancing strategic development with business objectives

  • Stay up to speed on the latest research to understand the trends, needs, motivations, and nuances of each audience

Manage

  • Guide and manage all aspects of the artistic and conceptual development of marketing and promotional materials, including print and digital collateral, campaigns, photography, web sites, and interactive design.

  • Articulate and enforce the visual tone, style guide and core values to ensure seamless creative development and implementation to marketing strategies and brand experiences

  • Manage workflow and production of an overseas production graphic designer.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 6-8 years of working on multi-platform digital, print, and video projects at an in-house marketing team, ad agency or creative agency

  • Experience designing and understanding the differences between both a B2B and B2C audience

  • Proven ability to drive results through strategic creative solutions

  • Passion for storytelling, point of view and immersion in the work

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Detail driven and excellent time management skills
