A background of project work in Investment Management, Hedge Fund Management, and Experience in Portfolio Construction. We are seeking a well-qualified candidate to provide dedicated Informatica engineering skills to assist with the development of an updated version of our Enterprise Data Warehouse. This project is more a green-field project incorporating, where appropriate, the business rules and data process automation processes that are in our production warehouse in a new build to support the growing needs of our business. The individual selected for this projects will work with our Data Architect and Development staff to assist with the technical design and implementation of project related activities and tasks. The firm is engaged in a series of enterprise data analytics and workflow automation projects to support our expanding business and this position offers a unique opportunity for talented individuals who are willing to work hard, and commit to solving complex data integration, aggregation and analytics challenges to support Investment and operational teams. We are also in the process of rolling out new data delivery solutions based on the Tableau BI set of tools of which the warehouse and associated SSIS and SSAS processes support. As a Lead ETL developer on the Development team you will primarily be focused the design and development of our next integration of our in-house developed data warehouse, designing and writing the ETL code as well as the batch processes and associate error handling protocols. Additional responsibilities include the documentation of technical specifications and related project artifacts, and contributing to solution design across the enterprise in business process redesign, data aggregation and control processes. Responsibilities - Designing and developing ETL processes for the firms proprietary data warehouse, from the acquisition and staging of data, load and insertion into the warehouse archive and transforming record into the extract and reporting tables. - Prepare key documentation to support the technical design and business requirements - Design unit test scripts and associated execution automation - Lead firm ETL development while mentoring other firm projects in ETL best practice and design - Contribute in solution design working groups, championing and promoting the application of ETL best practice - Design and development of batch process scripts to support the data warehouse. Qualifications - Solid understanding of the concepts and best practices of data warehouse ETL design and be able to apply these skills appropriately to Enterprise systems. - 5+ years Informatica Power Center Cloud version IICS - Demonstrated expertise around the Microsoft SQL server technologies SSIS, SSRS, SSAS (OLAP Cubes) - 5+ years of experience developing complex SQLs and performance tuning Advanced knowledge of T-SQL stored procedure design, coding , optimization and troubleshooting - You have designed and developed ETL work packages for at least one data warehouse project (preferably more than one) in last 3-5 years. - Ability to follow functional ETL specifications and challenge business logic and schema design where appropriate, and work with team members and business to achieve an optimal conclusion on design. - Proficient in documenting requirements , talking with business stakeholders, articulating and raising queriesclarifications with stakeholders - Good functional understanding of Financial Securities Domain and Trade Lifecycle management of at least one asset class. A background of project work in Investment Management, Hedge Fund Management, and Experience in Portfolio Construction would be a plus. (ETL Expertise is preferred but any financial services experience is a plus). - Demonstrated ability to collaborate, build relationships, mentor and influence a community of data professionals across lines of business and functional areas - Strong critical thinking and analytical skills - Good work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a lsquocan-dorsquo attitude - Excellent communication and presentation skills ndash ability to translate complex business problems and solutions into easily consumable content - High-level proficiency in MS-Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) - Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and independently - Professional maturity, personal integrity and polished interpersonal skills. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline We look forward to reviewing your profile.
