Blackstone Technology Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator with Virtualization experience and an Active Secret Clearance, to join our team at our client s site in Colorado Springs, CO.
The Windows System Administrator will support the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA). The MDSEA is a combination of scalable, flexible, virtualized infrastructure and physical hardware, providing data transport, storage, processing and cyber-services to support the MDA Space Systems' RTD&E and operational missions.
The candidate will:
Design, implement, and sustain Windows based physical and virtual machines for the Missile Defense Space Center.
Work closely with a team of engineers, including additional system administrators, network engineers, system engineers, and cybersecurity engineers, to provide high quality, innovative engineering services to the MDA/SS Government customer.
Work with MDA/SS system engineers to identify and define requirements for new systems and system modifications, developing designs, and implementing and testing solutions.
Be responsible for Sustainment, including on-going vulnerability scanning and system patching as necessary to reduce cybersecurity risks.
Monitor the system daily, system backup and restoral, and application upgrades to ensure optimal and continuous system operations.
Ancillary duties include developing and maintaining system administration procedures and baseline configuration documentation.
Be responsible for ensuring system software installs, maintenance, break fix activities, and cyber security mitigations are performed in accordance with established policies, procedures and service level agreements.
Basic Requirements: Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; or an Associate s degree and 10 years of general experience; or a Bachelor s degree and 8 years of general experience; or a Master s degree and 6 years of general experience.
Must have 6 years of directly related experience and 3 years in management or leadership roles
Candidate must have a Security+ or DoD 8570.01M IAT II level certification or higher
Candidate must possess an understanding of the system engineering processes
Candidate must have experience administering Windows Active Directory servers
Candidate must have DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher
Candidate must be willing to travel CONUS approx. 10% of the time
Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification is highly desired for this position.
Familiar with architecture supporting Space Systems environments.
Experience installing, patching, configuring and troubleshooting Windows servers and workstations including associated peripherals.
Experience with DISA tool used in scanning and remediating computer system vulnerabilities.
Experience resolving hardware & software conflicts and perform server maintenance and break/fix activities.
Familiarity with operating within a virtualized environment such as VMWare.
DoD networking experience with classified data networks and strong grasp of red/black concepts and IA compliance.
