Support periodic risk assessments of ASICs to meet Army PGM needs, performance goals, and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) strategies and provide technical management support and strategic assessments of new PNT technologies to support senior DoD decision makers, including conducting background research for and valuating the feasibility and potential applications of new technological concepts. Conduct risk analysis in client products and services. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government research and development efforts. Represent the client community at government meetings and conferences. Apply expertise in exploring new concepts and identifying technological gaps in need of investment and assist with managing program performance and risk. Draft technical briefings for both technical and public audiences, perform travel for program reviews, site visits, and performer testing, and work as part of a diverse team to meet client needs. Provide technical engineering consulting and evaluations on the design, development, and modification of PNT systems, subsystems, and components, develop and recommend design approaches for new or improved products or processes, and evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
-Experience with PNT engineering and analysis
-Experience with GPS receiver engineering
-Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
-Active Secret clearance
-Experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences
-Experience with electronics design and analysis, including precision-guided munitions (PGM), application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs), or microelectromechanical (MEMs) systems
-Experience with technical project or program management
-Experience with DARPA or another DoD R&D organization
-Knowledge of high-level MGUE Inc 2 requirements as pertained and connected to Army PGM systems’ needs
-Knowledge of alternative PNT technologies relevant to PGMs or mortars
-Knowledge of internal measurement unit (IMU) design and analysis
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
-Top Secret clearance
