Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Plans and establishes production schedules to meet customer demands. Develops production schedules in accordance with sales forecast, plant and employee capacity, and new business opportunities. Has responsibility to decide operation plan for make-to-stock or make-to-order. Responsible for creating detailed milestone Gantt charts and files to support customer requirements. Coordinates production schedules with the manufacturing team. Synchronizes and facilitates the flow of work and materials between and within the company departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Compile and analyze production data (throughput, yields, labor hours) to aid in the capacity analysis of resource centers and create reports to be used by personnel to improve operations

Work in a team based environment to identify risks associated with meeting customer delivery and schedules

Identify issues to avoid material shortages within procurement and materials management. Partner with purchasing department to requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demand.

Develop and maintain lead time for products and Identify and communicate changes in production demands to appropriate internal and external contacts

Develops and maintains critical customer milestone schedules and Gantt charts. Tracks product through the manufacturing life cycle on an hourly/daily cadence and provides updates to information for key stakeholders

Maintain and monitor production schedules and processes used in the manufacturing of heat transfer products and facilitates the flow of material between various departments and parties

Compiles and records customer data from customer orders, work orders, product specifications, and individual travelers/router.

Interfaces with Sales, Operations and Materials team to conduct SIOP process

Other duties as may be assigned.

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

BS/BA Degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management discipline preferred (work experience in lieu of degree may be evaluated)

Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment desirable

Proven oral and written communication and proofreading skills required. Must be detail orientated and proficient user of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Demonstrated ability to understand measurements and proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation desirable.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Manufacturing work environment with multiple operations (machine shop, mechanical equipment, assembly, shipping, receiving, warehousing, fork lifts, quality environmental lab etc.) with regular exposure to moving mechanical systems.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and to stand for long lengths of time with or without accommodation.

Noise level in the work environment is moderate
