Marketing Manager

Role summary:

The Marketing Manager will play an important role in the marketing team, providing support to Managers and Senior Managers across all Buck practice areas for specific marketing programmes, and assisting with the delivery of wider UK Marketing Programmes.

The Marketing Manager will have responsibility for leading the design and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns that drive organic growth through new business acquisition and existing client retention.

You will be expected to produce high quality integrated marketing campaigns with clear segmenting, targeting and messaging supported with brand communication.

You will be responsible for drafting supporting communications tailored to your audience, co-ordinate events with good planning knowledge and understanding of event production, be involved with PR initiatives and be responsible for the administration of marketing systems and processes.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the role will require the Marketing Manager to be pro-active in a wide range of marketing activities across both digital and traditional channels.

The Role Holder:

The position is ideally suited to someone who is motivated, efficient, highly organised, and enjoys having a lot of responsibilities.

A self-starter who can hit the ground running, you will be a creative thinker with excellent project management skills, outstanding verbal and written communication, and a high level of attention to detail.

Taking a digital-first approach to your work, you will bring fresh ideas, a strategic approach, and excellent execution to help challenge boundaries and raise the bar for marketing at Buck.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Campaign planning ? development and delivery of end-to-end, integrated solution-led and thought leadership-led campaign plans to deliver on key business objectives and help us hit our growth targets
  • Content creation ? development of content across multiple channels to support campaign and wider brand awareness activity, including video, thought leadership, email, web and social
  • Events ? planning and production of both external and in-house exhibitions, conferences, seminars and webinars
  • PR ? day-to-day management of UK media activity and ongoing PR agency relationship, and optimisation of PR spend ?
  • Advertising and sponsorship ? develop programmes to raise Buck?s brand profile in our core markets
  • Programme management ? tracking, evaluation and reporting on all activity (using Salesforce) to ensure effective ROI measurement and maximum value for money on marketing spend
  • Internal stakeholder management to ensure buy-in on key programmes and maintaining professional and positive relationships with senior management as well as marketing colleagues
  • Working effectively with other members of the wider global marketing team to ensure alignment of marketing activity, both regionally and globally
  • Budget management for all owned projects
  • Managing relationships with external consultants, agencies and suppliers
  • Ensuring brand compliance across all activity
  • Managing ad-hoc marketing requests

Skills and experience:

  • BA University degree or equivalent;
  • Professional marketing qualification (CIM) desirable;
  • Strong background in business to business marketing;
  • Proven track record in a marketing manager role ? ideally with experience in a professional services organisation (desirable but not necessary);
  • Demonstrable experience in relevant industry ? Employee Benefits, Pensions management, Investment consulting would be highly beneficial but NOT essential;
  • Highly proficient in all MS Office packages (including PowerPoint); knowledge of Salesforce/CRM systems, Hubspot / marketing automation systems and Adobe Creative Suite an advantage;
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Creative and innovative ? always thinking ahead and able to take new approaches or question the status quo.
