This position is responsible to support the financial planning process, prepare monthly expense reports, prepare member level financial statements, and support the monthly actual versus budget analysis. This includes making improvements to the plan model, meeting with leaders to develop assumptions, consolidating financial results, and uploading the plan into Workday. This position will work closely with the FP&A Manager and the Accounting team to improve reporting out of Workday.


  • Support the financial planning and forecasting process
  • Gather assumptions and help build the annual plan
  • Prepare monthly expense reports and analysis by leader
  • Prepare member level financial statements (member economics analysis)
  • Identify and quantify financial impact of various initiatives
  • Review current business processes and recommend ways to streamline reports
  • Analyze, review and make recommendations on budget requests
  • Review the chart of accounts and allocations and recommend ways to improve
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial modeling, analysis, and projections
  • Work on special projects as assigned


Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA preferred


  • 2 - 4 year of related work experience in financial reporting, planning and analysis or equivalent.
  • Experience in health insurance, healthcare administration, or management consulting. Preference given to those with Medicare or Government Programs related experience.
  • Must have advanced Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as this position will be interacting with various departments within the company.
  • Experience building financial models and product allocations.
  • Highly organized with an attention to details. The ability to adapt to and lead change in a business environment is also critical.
  • Must be an independent and creative thinker
  • Must be able to work with and communicate with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Must be able to present ideas clearly and concisely to all audiences verbally and in writing.
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Experience working effectively and influencing others on cross-functional teams
  • Must be able to manage and deal with conflict and stressful situations in a calm, reasonable and composed manner.
  • Experience with SQL a plus
