We are expanding and are in search of an experienced Business Developer and MLO for our mortgage division. We offer a variety of products and 100% financing , while providing a base salary plus commission.
Develops and maintains relationships with wholesale mortgage brokers, TPO, correspondents, realtors, builders, and other referral sources for the purpose of soliciting 1st lien mortgages. The position serves as the liaison between the wholesale mortgage brokers, correspondents, consumers and Central Bank’s mortgage department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct mortgage sales/marketing efforts to mortgage companies for qualified and non-qualified secondary market. (QM and non QM loans).
Perform daily marketing and networking efforts to potential brokers, correspondents, builders, and realtors for new mortgage production.
Assist in reviewing new applications for completeness and providing feedback regarding loan submissions.
Correspond with mortgage lenders to answer questions and provide any necessary information on the loan process and loan programs.
Responsible for setting up new broker relationships and obtaining annual review documents.
Recommend and act on marketing efforts designed to increase market share of mortgage loans.
Facilitate communication between brokers and back office to ensure questions and issues are addressed in a timely manner.
Address multiple demands simultaneously, including new loan origination solicitation calls, scheduled appointments and bank marketing efforts.
Provide ongoing loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.
Comprehensive knowledge in 1st lien mortgage products for secondary market loans including Agency, Government, and Jumbo loans as well as portfolio lending QM and non QM mortgage products.
Be knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities for mortgage loans in general.
Responsible for complying with all applicable state and federal regulations.
Meet external and internal customers service standards established by the bank.
Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in mortgage lending. Experience in wholesale broker TPO and correspondent mortgage lending with outside mortgage sales, including secondary market products, and retail MLO experience with external relationships is required. The ideal candidate must be willing to work outside typical office hours to meet brokers and answer policy guideline questions. Candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills, and exceptional customer service and sales skills.
