The CDI program educator is responsible for creating and promoting educational and training efforts for the CDIS team to assist in achieving clinical and operational excellence within the CDI program. The CDI Program Educator will provide education, support and mentoring at the regional level, including but not limited to onsite education, CDI software training, and CDI workflow management training. The CDI Program Educator understands the fundamentals of chart review,CDI opportunity and compliance. Interacts in a collegial manner with CDI specialists, CDI Team Leaders, CDI educators, and all other healthcare team members. Must be able to respond and interact with all physicians and hospital staff in a collaborative and courteous manner. The CDI Program educator will also facilitate and support physician education efforts within the region.What You Bring/Job RequirementsIn addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:Minimum Experience RequirementsThree years? experience as a Clinical Documentation Improvement ProfessionalClinical experience preferred with ICU, CCU or strong Med/Surg experiencePrevious education, training, or mentoring experience preferredMust demonstrate Clinical competency through successfully passing Clinical Competency exam through Nuance.Must demonstrate CDI software competency through passing Clintegrity exam within 6 months of starting role.May Consider Health Information Management Candidate with the following:3+ years of progressive inpatient coding, auditing and healthcare reimbursement methodologies, plus 3 years? experience as Clinical Documentation Improvement SpecialistAssociate or Bachelors degree in HIM or HIM related field with RHIA or RHIT?Education required:HS diplomaAssociates degree in NursingBachelors degree in Nursing, preferred?License/Certifications required:?CO RN licenseCCDS preferred?Physical Requirements:Sedentary work-prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionallyYour Connected CommunityCentura Health is headquartered in Centennial, CO, with additional business office locations throughout the Denver Tech Center.
