Job Summary The Senior Accountant will assist the Consolidation Accounting Department with all aspects of consolidations and other accounting activities as needed. As part of the Assistant Controller s department, this position will support internal accounting and external financial reporting as well as ensuring a proper internal control structure for financial reporting and disclosure. Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the month-end close consolidation tasks including journal entry processing and other consolidation tasks. Assist with the monthly consolidation of all domestic and foreign operations within the accounting system including monthly currency translation and intercompany eliminations. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other required disclosures for all quarterly and annual SEC reporting. Perform analysis of financial data from subsidiary systems, including balance sheet and income statement variance analysis. Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures for all tasks. Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned. Involvement in the review of quarterly Financial Reporting Packages. Responsible for actively identifying areas of improvement and recommending action plans. Interact with employees outside the Consolidation Department. Education and Experience: BA/BS in Finance/Accounting CPA preferred 4-6 years of relevant experience, public accounting experience preferred Experience with preparation of SEC filings (10-K/10-Q) preferred Experience with BPC and SAP. Strong Excel / MS Office skills Possess excellent analytical skills, knowledge of accounting practices related to intercompany, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills. Individual should work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Willing to work overtime and some weekends as needed. Job Type: Full-time
