Locations: New York, New YorkJob Function: Business Strategy, Management & AdministrationEmployee Status: RegularJob ID: 19105897 Key Responsibilities: The Global Spread Products Business manager sits within the GSP Chief Operating Office as part of the CAO & Product Development Organization. The role supports the Head of the Global Flow Credit Trading. The role is responsible for establishing and driving business strategy and priorities (in conjunction with Business Heads) to ensure delivery of strategic business initiative. The ideal candidate should have a well-diversified background with a successful track record of leadership, experience, and performance. The candidate should also have strong product knowledge and understanding of important strategic transactions, and have the ability to navigate the firm as circumstances arise to facilitate this business. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build consensus on strategy and execution are a key component of the role. Other key responsibilities of the role include talent planning and development, optimization of business resources, development of new initiatives including product expansion and target market efforts, and strong and consistent coordination of decisions across the business and support functions. This role will require travel but will be based in New York. Key Responsibilities Include: Develop business cases for the commitment of resources; Align front office teams and support groups (Fin, Tech, Ops, Legal, HR) to business priorities Ensure business strategy considers market structure and regulatory changes Managing business risks Identify, escalate and mitigate business risks that could impair our ability to do business: Specific threats (e.g. legal, tax, regulatory, capacity issues, extraordinary transaction costs) Compounded problems (e.g. under-investment in product workflow across several support areas) Systemic risks (e.g. market failure, fraud, new competitive forces) Risks within new product build out (own New Product Approval process) Key person dependencies across the end-to-end business Oversee that an effective control environment exists (including functions covering market, credit, operational and conduct risks) Optimizing business performance and planning Optimize bottom line business performance by driving key initiatives (Expense base, RWA/capital utilization) Annual business budget process (in conjunction with Planning and Analysis) Ensure and oversee optimal resource budgeting and allocation to achieve business priorities (eg, market data spend, resource/location strategy, vendor engagement, internal cost allocations) Oversee investment/productivity initiatives across the end-to-end business to achieve multi-year targets Oversight for real estate needs/space planning Oversee deal management pipeline and forecasting A critical aspect of the role is to continue to drive the integration of our business with the rest of the Markets franchise, Qualifications Experience, Skills and Capabilities: Extensive experience within Citis Spread Products businesses and/or in a Business Management/COO role at a major financial institution, Strong understanding Credit Trading, market structure and fundamentals and business dynamics Successful understanding and leadership of a geographically diverse and multi-product business Successful track record of leading and creating momentum and a collective agenda Credibility and gravitas to lead, motivate and influence a diverse population across products and matrixed reporting lines, as well as a broad set of business partners across the firm, with a proven track record in conflict resolution Strong intellectual grasp of the industry and with the ability to anticipate and lead the organizational response to future changes Ability to translate vision into executable plans Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Superior problem solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately Honesty, integrity and reputation Financial soundness Competence and capability ---- Grade :All Job Level - All Job FunctionsAll Job Level - All Job Functions - US ---- Time Type :Full time ---- Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.Minority/Female/Veteran/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
