Brief Description of the Organization
CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world.In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis.With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential.This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
This individual will be an essential member of the Private Bank Residential Real Estate Operations team which is tasked with the end to end processing & closing of loans for Private Bank clients. The Loan Coordinator role encompasses the following sub-roles: Processor and Closer. Loan Coordinators are expected to become proficient in all aspects of these roles.
Specific responsibilities include:
Driving & owning all activities of the loan processing from Underwriting approval through closing and funding
Maintaining exceptional and frequent communications with Clients to ensure a seamless and first class client experience throughout the loan process
Exceptional client focus and highly proactive mindset
Ability to work under pressure and exceptional mindfulness of deadlines and due dates
Exceptional judgment and the ability to escalate to management with a strong sense of urgency for all volatile client matters
Timely preparation of mortgage documents
Ability to obtain relevant information from clients, realtors, title companies, appraisers, bankers, accountants or anyone associated with the origination process in a timeline manner?
Exceptional communication skills and high comfortability talking with important clients
Strong proactive mindset with an exceptional attention to detail
Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines and ability to act with urgency. Acts with ownership
Experience in mortgage loan processing &/or closing and mortgage industry knowledge strongly preferred
Ability to understand all aspects of the loan process and internal and external mortgage related guidelines, processes and regulations
Ability to exercise strong judgment and to escalate all volatile client situations
Ability to multi-task as well as work independently and as a team member
Proficient PC skills (Microsoft Office), with the ability to learn new software and systems
Knowledge of Process Governance, process mapping as well as process and procedure documentation
Positive attitude and strong desire to learn and grow and to be an expert in the business supported
