Associate Director/Director Scientific Training & Development - Medical Affairs. Due to growth of our organization, Agios is searching for a Scientific Training leader to join our Medical Affairs team and support our expanding company. Reporting to Head, Scientific Communications and Publications, the Associate Director/Director, Scientific Training & Development, will develop and conduct a global training plan for US and Ex-US MSLs and Medical Affairs staff in several areas within oncology and rare blood disorders.. Primary Responsibilities include:. Develop, implement, and manage onboarding and ongoing training programs for field MSL team and in house Medical Affairs staff in a manner consistent with best practices and applicable laws, regulations, and relevant SOPs.. Partner with Head Medical Affairs, Med Affairs Directors, MSL Director, HEOR, Scientific Communications and Publications, Clinical Development, Translational Research, Biology Research, and external clinical experts to develop and implement training programs, aligning strategy and messaging consistent with global scientific platform and other corporate messaging. Deliver, when needed, new hire training as well as continuing product and disease state education to MSLs and in house Med Affairs Staff. Design, plan and deliver Training workshops, when appropriate. In coordination with medical communication and publication program leads, develop and update medical content for training. Facilitate review and approval of training materials through medical review committee. Demonstrate ability to work effectively with MSLs and management/internal stakeholders at all levels within the organization. Maintain documentation of key training events. Develop/employ tools to assess effectiveness of training programs. Ability to manage vendor in all aspects of working relationship. Education and Skills Requirement:. Advanced degree in biological science or clinical field. 7+ years of collective biotech/pharmaceutical experience in learning, curriculum development, or MSL roles. Proficiency in adult principles of learning. Background in oncology and/or rare hematologic diseases preferred. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to Medical Affairs Field Interactions. Prior learning management systems experience is preferred. Demonstrated success in delivering effective training models for internal stakeholders. Expected to work autonomously in a fast paced environment. Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a rapidly growing organization.
