Compile weekly time-cards for temporary and permanent employees. Provide management with exception reports as follows: Tardiness and Early Out by person by day, including adherence to the company policy regarding timekeeping.Absence by person by day, including adherence to the company policy regarding absenteeism.Paid Time Off (PTO) by person, including adherence to the company policy regarding vacations.Salary progression based on length of service, performance, skills acquisition etc. Maintain key performance indicators (KPI) for Human Resources; TardinessAbsenceAttrition (differentiate between temporary and permanent staff)VacationsSalary progression Manage the recruitment of all production personnel; Compile and maintain Position Descriptions for key positions within manufacturing; press room, mechanical assembly, shipping & receiving, warehousing etc.Coordinate with staffing agencies to recruit suitably qualified and experienced candidates.Maintain current terms and agreements for all staffing agencies and ensure that the costs for hiring temporary staff and subsequent transition from temporary to permanent status are accurately tracked and managed.Maintain and deliver the orientation process for all temporary and permanent employees working in manufacturing, administration and management. Coordinate with the appropriate managers to ensure that content is accurate; Health & Safety, Quality Management System, Employee Handbook etc.Support management with timely and accurate pay increases for temporary and permanent employees and which are consistent with companies current pay scale. Organizational chart Maintain an accurate organizational chart.Maintain accurate headcount records for production and administrative people. This includes updating the appropriate files used to manage costs for both categories (budget, forecast and actual). Training and Development, including Performance Management Maintain a factory-wide Competency Matrix which accurately describes the current skill level for each production person. Assist the Team Leaders and Supervisors by identifying and closing skill gaps through cross-training etc.Manage the Performance Evaluation process. Includes maintaining the required paperwork plus ensuring that Team Leaders and Supervisors complete the evaluations in a professional and timely manner.Support the Team Leaders and Supervisors by periodically assessing the performance and behavior of each production person. Includes recommendations for promotion, new assignments plus counselling and disciplinary action. Health, Safety & Environmental Maintain simple management systems for OSHA record keeping and reporting. Likewise, for required environmental records (mandated by EPA and other agencies).Support management team with maintaining OSHA compliance, includes supporting Health & Safety Committee, Incident Investigations, provision of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), etc.
3+ Years experience in all of the above areas.
Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be able to self manage.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred
