Job Ad Template OU.LOCATIONEmployer is seeking an Export Compliance Manager who will have the responsibilities for one or more Business Unitswithin North America for supervising and implementing the day-to-dayoperations of the Employer Export/Import Compliance Policy ( Ex/ImPolicy ) as well as overseeing the activities of the ExportCompliance Officers ( ECO ) and/or Export Compliance Administrators( ECA ) assigned to such Business Unit(s).We are actively seeking qualified talent in Colorado Springs.Key Responsibilities:Ensuring that the activities of the Business Unit(s) complywith applicable export control laws and regulations, as well asthe requirements set forth in the Ex/Im Policy.Completing or overseeing responsibility for all exportcompliance requirements for each proposed export, import andre-export transaction, in coordination with the other relevantemployees within the Business Unit, to ensure that each proposedtransaction complies with applicable licensing requirementsunder export control laws and regulations.Arranging export compliance training, as neededMonitoring and advising the appropriate ECOs and/or ECAs of revisions/changes to export control laws and regulations, andthe Ex/Im PolicyResponding to inquiries from Business Unit employees regardingcompliance issues, in consultation with the Director, GTC asnecessaryReviewing, tracking and maintaining export licenseapplications and requests for other types of export approvalsfiled with government agencies on behalf of the applicableBusiness UnitsDeveloping Business Unit processes, procedures andrecordkeeping systems to ensure compliance with the Employer Ex/ImPolicyAssisting the Director, GTC with changes to the BusinessUnit's export compliance procedures, as requiredAssisting the Director, GTC with the annual audits of theBusiness Unit's facility's compliance with the Employer Ex/ImPolicy or more frequently as necessary. Determining proper classification and jurisdiction of Employerproducts and services Act as the Empowered Official to include: Having authority forpolicy or management within the company. Being legally empoweredin writing to sign license applications or other requests forapproval on behalf of the applicant. Having the independentauthority to: Inquire into any aspect of a proposed export ortemporary import by Employer. Verify the legality of thetransaction and the accuracy of the information to be submitted.Refuse to sign any license application or other request forapproval without prejudice or other adverse recourse. Performingdue diligence on End User Undertakings/Certificates.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience.Five (5)+ years' experience in export complianceOne (1)+ year experience with the provisions and requirementsof International Traffic in Arms Regulations (22 CFR 120 130),ExportAdministration Regulations (15 CFR 700 799), U.S. Departmentof Treasury, Office of Foreign Asset Controls (31 CFR 500 599), U.S. Customs and Border Protection Regulations (19 CFR 1 -199).Experience at the intermediate level with Microsoft Word,Excel, Project and PowerPointIn order to be considered for this opportunity, you must beeligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, whichrequires USA Citizenship.Ability to travel up to 20%.Security:All applicants must be a U.S Citizen or U.S Person as defined byITAR (a lawful permanent resident or someone who is a protectedindividual as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)).
