The Administrative Assistant will serve as the point person for the Department of Medicine's House Staff Office which currently has over 150 internal medicine residents. Provides day-to-day support for the office including: reception of guests, triaging inquiries, running errands, and performing general office duties. Works closely with the Program Administrator in planning and organizing residency program activities including orientation, commencement, retreats, picnic, dinners, and other special events. Collects and copies credentialing forms to be submitted to GME Office, filing forms appropriately in the residents' folders. Updates various office databases including alumni, resident profiles and elective proposals. Follows through on daily conference scheduling including morning report, noon conference, journal club, etc. Responsible for processing Travel & Expense reports. Ensures events are added to the department calendar. Responsible for processing current and former residents' certification requests. Assists the Program Administrator during the residency recruitment season. Responsible for general maintenance of house staff areas and resources. Orders office supplies, equipment, food, etc. using the CUMC purchasing system. Provides administrative support to the Program Director, Program Administrator, Associate Program Directors and Chief Residents. Minimum Qualifications for Grade
