Concordia University Chicago (CUC) invites applications for the part-time (20 hours per week) position of Campus Event Supervisor. This position is responsible for the evening and weekend supervision of events and activities that are held on-campus. This position is located in River Forest, IL and reports to the Director of Contract Management & Auxiliary Services.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring the proper set-ups ahead of the event, greeting the group leader upon arrival, and monitoring all details and services related to the event, to its completion.
In addition, the individual will be responsible for the supervision of Koehneke Community Center (KCC) student staff during their shifts, as well as the physical condition and cleanliness of the Community Center itself.
Interested candidates should be extremely detail and customer service oriented. The ability to multi-task and calmly troubleshoot are also much-needed qualities to successfully manage the duties of the position.
Computer-proficiency is an important quality for the candidate, so they are able to assist with producing room set-ups as well as signage for groups meeting on campus.
The candidate must have an engaging and welcoming personality as interaction with customers and clients will be a frequent and consistent occurrence for this position.
Minimum Experience Required:
Previous Event Management/Hospitality experience is preferred
A minimum of an Associate's Degree or an equivalent Event Management Certification is required. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting range is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience. Concordia retirement plan enrollment is available to part-time employees. Tuition benefits may also be available.
