CNC Preventative Maintenance Mechanic


CT Tool & Manufacturing has the manufacturing know-how to produce a broad range of individual parts made from a variety of materials including Flight Safety parts, complex assemblies and prepackaged kits for streamlined point of use assembly. We are looking for Preventative Maintenance Mechanic to join us at our Plainville, CT location.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is, but not limited to: helping develop and execute a well-rounded preventative maintenance program, to help keep production machinery operating at full capacity, with minimal downtime.


Major Responsibilities & Activities

  • Preform scheduled care of CNC machines based upon OEM recommendations. (includes checking fluid levels, cleaning or replacing filters, overall cleanliness of the machine)

  • Preform and/or coordinate all annual OEM preventative maintenance.

  • Ability to work on multiple machines simultaneously.

  • Ability to research and put together part orders for preventative maintenance parts & supplies. Install as needed.

  • Utilize machine tool manuals, technical documents, and vendor resources to troubleshoot machine issues.

  • Suggest ways to mitigate future problems before they happen based on PM findings.

  • Organize and maintain all internal/external PM documentation.

  • Assist supervisor in project planning, oversight of outside contractors, and repairs as needed.

  • Ensure safety standards are maintained while performing duties.

  • Understanding of Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures

  • Observes all Company policies, rules, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security


Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

Ability to work independently, under pressure, and as a team player

Ability to enter, record, and/or maintain information in written and electronic form

Effective communication skills, verbally and in written form (emails, etc)

Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Self-motivated and willing to work independently with little supervision.

Ability to use hand and power tools

Mechanical Electrical background preferred
