Medical Director physician employment in Massachusetts : Primary Care Medical Director, Employed Group Practice - Norwood, MA Hospital Employed Practice is seeking an Internal medicine physician with Leadership experience to Lead the Primary Care Practice and to provide clinical primary care duties. The Primary Care Practice Medical Director is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of patient care within the practice. S/he oversees the clinical work of all the care-givers within the practice and collaborates with the Practice Manager to ensure staffing supports the clinical needs of the patients. In collaboration with the Director of Primary Care and Primary Care administration, the Medical Director is responsible for meeting quality, cost, efficiency, outcome, and patient engagement metrics for the practice, as assigned by the Director of Primary Care. The Medical Director will have a meaningful understanding of, commitment to, and provide leadership around, patient centeredness and team-based care. Also, s/he collaborates with the Department of Medicine residency program to ensure that teaching goals and requirements are met for any trainees in the practice. Time is divided between leadership at a practice level (1 session) and clinical care as a primary care physician (6-7 sessions). The Medical Director collaboratively hire physicians and advanced practice clinicians for the practice. Responsible for periodic performance evaluations of clinicians within the practice. Collaboratively creates a team environment with input and skills of each member of the practice. Assists the Practice Manager with the hiring and evaluation of the non-provider staff. Provides resources to advance the knowledge and practice of team-based care. Participates in and supports the maintenance of processes to ensure that continuous quality improvement is a core practice competency. Provides mentoring and support to faculty as needed. Participates in primary care leadership meetings. Participates in various committees as requested by the Director of Primary Care. This is a non-academic teaching practice The primary care practice is NCQA level 3 recognized. Has embedded high risk care management nurses in all practices to provide care coordination and care management for highest risk patients. Population management program to support between visit care. Embedded behavioral health team including social work, psychiatry and depression population health management to support patients with behavioral health needs. State of the art Electronic Medical Record and Enterprise Data Warehouse Systems to support clinical care and population health Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor with or w/o US residency with current US work visa.
