The Sr Analyst, Business Intelligence and Data Integration will be responsible for working directly with business partners, business analysts, and other developers in creating scalable solutions which effectively and efficiently satisfy the business decision making needs. This role will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance and distribution of our internal analytics applications to provide reliable data faster to support decision making. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be assigned to multiple projects which will be spread across several departments in all three divisions of DSI - Daiichi Sankyo Pharma Development (DSPD) Division, the U.S. Commercial Division (USCD) and the Daiichi Sankyo U.S. Business (DSUSB). This individual will look at problems in unique ways, help teams to use data to improve decision making, build innovative custom solutions, and act as a liaison between IT and end users.
Work with the business users collaboratively to understand their needs for business intelligence solutions and demonstrating IT capabilities. Design business intelligence capabilities and best practices that are complete and actionable, including performing information analysis in support of designing solutions. Make design recommendations of how to visualize key metrics and performance indicators like ROI, valuation, opportunity, turnover and access.
Contribute to the development, testing, and integration of data from a variety of systems including the hands-on development of mappings, analytics, reports, and dashboards. Successfully rollout newly developed capabilities from start to finish as well as managing existing IT investments. Support end-users through informal hands-on usage training and educate users on best practices and business intelligence solutions.
Provide ongoing support services and expert knowledge regarding data integration, business intelligence and reporting solutions and platforms. Responsible for the integrity and quality of data and information stored and flowing between business applications, data warehouse, integration hubs and business intelligence applications. Administer and maintain the technology platforms including but not limited to Informatica Cloud, Alteryx and PowerBI
Recognize and adopt best practices in including: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation in accordance with the established governance. Monitor processes to ensure overall performance of the system meets or exceeds expectations of the business users.
Qualifications Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or business related discipline. Advanced degrees are a plus but not required.
5 years of relevant experience in business intelligence and data integration/ analytics role, utilizing data warehousing and business intelligence tools
5+ years' experience with an ETL tool, Informatica preferred.
5+ years' experience developing and administering dashboards (for example PowerBI, Tableau, or a similar tool).
5+ years' experience in Data Analysis, Database Design and Data Architecture; strong SQL skills.1+ years' experience with cloud-based tools preferred.
1+ years' experience with R, Python or Machine Learning preferred.
Has directly worked with analysts and decision makers in support of decision needs. Experience developing proof of concept prototypes, presenting, advising, and assisting with a wide variety of projects. Ability to prioritize and work multiple assignments, tight deadlines and working well under pressure.
Hands on experience, in an analytical capacity, developing business intelligence solutions including the integration of various sources of information for supporting company -wide decision making.
Has worked in some capacity to develop advanced analytical capabilities and has experience with and or understands forecasting, financial metrics, ROI, valuation and performance metrics. Experience with pharmaceutical syndicated data SHS, IQVIA, Veeva etc.) is preferred
Knowledge of all areas of a software development lifecycle: triage, requirements analysis, implementation, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, rollout and ongoing support
Ability to work closely with decision makers to translate their needs in business user requirements
Working with users to ensure data integration and analytical requirements are developed to specification as required.
Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and drive projects to completion
Ability to effectively manage priorities across diverse stakeholders and systems
Analyze the existing applications, business goals and requirements. This includes application/data integration processes and end-user reporting/analytics access layers.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written, verbal and collaborative skills - able to communicate complex data issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
Occasional need to travel to for meetings and seminars
