The Social Media Manager helps manage the Jimmy Funds social media presence across a variety of platforms. This position is responsible for strategy, content development, advertising management, and analysis.

  • Help manage the Jimmy Funds social media presence across platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Snapchat;
  • Manage a social media portfolio of fundraising programs:Produce social media strategies and content for programs within portfolio;Develop reports and analysis to improve program results;Serve as social media lead for program Wrap-Up Reports for programs within portfolio. Present findings;Plan and implement paid social campaigns. Monitor campaigns and optimize spend for low cost to acquire and high ROI. Report out on results and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Work with outside vendors and consultants to design and deliver impactful social media content that helps generate program awareness and revenue;
  • Be in the know and a reliable resource on how other nonprofits are using social media for fundraising and awareness initiatives;
  • Work with Senior Associate Director, Social Media on developing new fundraising and awareness initiatives;
  • Monitor competitors, trends and new developments in social media. Research ways to attract more followers so our messages are reaching a larger audience;
  • Aid in identification of influencers, both external and within our current donor base;
  • Attend Jimmy Fund events for on-site social media needs to help generate event promotion;
  • Perform other duties, as necessary.

    Reports to Senior Assistant Director, Social Media, Digital Marketing.



    At least 3 years of experience in social media marketing and communications. Previous experience coordinating marketing programs and online communities on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube. Have a good understanding of how social media fits into an overall marketing strategy. Excellent writing and communications skills required. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail with proven capability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines are necessary.


  • Minimum of 3 years using Facebook Ads Manager to build and run ads. Experience with custom audiences and other targeting tactics;
  • Excellent writing and editing skills for all social media platforms;
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills;
  • Interpersonal communications skills with the ability to work with all in-house teams as well as external vendors/partners;
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously;
  • Exceptional organizational skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines;
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to present among C-suite staff;
  • Experience in analyzing marketing campaigns including ROI calculations and identifying KPIs;
  • Experience managing ad spend/budgets and optimizing for results;
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed during event season and as time-sensitive projects and deadlines arise;
  • Graphic design experience (Adobe PhotoShop), a plus;
  • Nonprofit experience a plus.



    Workstation in typical office setting. Works on deadline. Some assignments will require evening and weekend work. Some use of personal vehicle for work-related purposes may be necessary.
