We are currently seeking a Warehouse/Inventory Control Lead
Responsibilities include any of the following activities related to the receiving, storing, MRB, inventory and/or shipping of materials to vendors: ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory, and that RTV Materials are packaged according to specification and shipped in a timely manner. Reviews receipt of all materials to ensure purchase orders are open and the quality of materials received is correct. Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control. Ensures materials are available to meet production schedules and/or products are shipped as per marketing schedules. Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures. Maintains documentation to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: Supervise receiving, inventory, warehouse and MRB functions, to ensure cost effective, efficient, receipt of raw materials and shipment of RTV material. Ensure that materials received are verified against pertinent documentation. Ensures materials are received from proper vendors, that they are delivered to inventory Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods using established inventory control procedures Ensures materials are kitted and available to meet production schedules Accurately picks and prepares shipping orders to meet shipping cutoff times Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments and supplies for damages, defects and shortages Establishes and modifies operational methods and procedures for inventory management, cycle counting and physical inventories Maintains documentation to support compliance, effectiveness and efficiency of department activities Review and develop Inventory procedures and recommend changes when appropriate Develop and execute processes for periodic cycle count program, full physical inventories and other methods, as necessary for all DDN facilities Prepare periodic Inventory variance reports Provide a root cause analysis and Implement corrective actions to reduce inventory variances Provide inventory control training to different departments when needed Support and provide recommendations to operations in the planning layout of warehouses and other storage areas considering turn over, size, weight, and related factors of items stored Verify inventory levels (MIN-MAX) and reorder points are balanced based on forecast, demand and warehouse space Report DDN owned inventory counts and variances at contract manufacturers to supply chain planning team Drive disposition of inventory in MRB and resolve any receiving discrepancies Post and track stock Transactions/adjustments, as needed with approval from the accounting department Ensure clear paperwork cut offs when conducting physical inventory and month end Order and maintain inventory supplies Support Production Planner managing Lot /Serialized controlled products and ensure product codes are accurate and clean. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems Anticipates, communicates and resolves internal and external issues that could affect warehouse optimization Continuously achieves good customer service while following guidelines to support best business practices Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
Qualifications for this role are:
This position is accountable for all aspects of inventory control and the supervision of one or more Inventory Control / Receiving Clerks. This includes researching reasons for inventory discrepancies, directing stock rotation and outside storage, and quality control. Associate’s degree desirable or equivalent experience. 2 to 4 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity Experience with Oracle or equivalent ERP system Good computer skills to complete warehousing transactions with ability to operate effectively within multiple software applications and multiple inventory systems Familiar with the correct handling, storage and disposal of raw materials used in electronics manufacturing Ability to operate warehouse equipment including but not limited to forklift and pallet jack Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as high ethical standards Capability to manage multiple priorities, organize complex requests, and resolve issues creatively Excellent organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and implement team projects CPM/APICS certification is preferred Bilingual English - Spanish preferred.
