The Business Development – Truck Products role is responsible for developing medium and heavy duty truck business within their assigned territory from existing customers and new prospects. This person generates lease and services revenue for Donlen, a Hertz company and its affiliated companies, and establishes strong client relationships. This position services companies with a minimum fleet size of 50 medium/heavy duty vehicles. Home office position anywhere in the U.S. - Developing and maintaining a database of prospects and customers - Generating appointments/sales calls - Effectively communicating Donlen’s value proposition to sign new business from prospects and increase penetration of existing customer - Selling all Donlen approved financial and services programs - Managing a robust sales funnel with laser focus on meeting or exceeding annual growth targets - Successful closing of accounts - Achieving targeted financial goals - Provide strategic account management for portfolio of customers closed by the Business Development Sales person focused on client retention, and maximizing penetration of all programs - Providing consultative advice to customers and prospects (i.e. Annual and/or Quarterly Performance Reviews, Replacement Analysis, Best Value Analysis; Scorecards) - Creating a positive image of Donlen Corporation at regional business functions - Coordinating with marketing staff to optimize lead generation and sales support functions - Managing sales activity reporting monthly - Effectively manage expenses on a monthly basis *LI-KR1 Mandatory Requirements Education Background - Bachelor’s Degree preferred Professional Experience -5+ years successfully selling vehicle fleet leasing and management services -Demonstrated ability to exceed sales goals in a complex and strategic sales environment - Complex relational selling into C suite is required - High degree of business acumen especially when calling on CFOs, Fleet Managers, Procurement, etc - Excellent time management skills - Must have a demonstrated track record of being a top-achiever - Goal-oriented sales professional with discipline to work independently is required - Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents - Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and/or complaints - Superior written, verbal and presentation skills, and professional presence are required - Ability to develop complex financial analysis and solutions - Home office setting - This position requires at least 40% travel (ability to travel by plane and/or automobile)
