Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participation in the management of ETL development activity related to new customer implementations
  • Development of detailed technical requirements to support the development of new customer data acquisition processes
  • Support in business requirements gathering process via internal and external business partner engagement
  • Execution of data audits and test plans to validate ETL accuracy
  • Participation in client engagement during new implementation period
  • Ongoing support of existing ETL processes
  • Communication Effectively communicate and maintain relationships with team participants and business partners within a project and across the organization and business stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving and Judgment - Identify data analysis issues/problems that have impact beyond project. Resolve issues working with teams across projects. Evaluate the impact of new business and changing environment on business/system strategies of complex projects to proactively initiate improvements as necessary.
  • Teamwork - Considered a role model for teamwork across projects and business units. Proactively seeks to assist others within the project team, within the department.
  • Autonomy - Requires minimal supervision.
  • Methodology - Possess an advanced understanding of the project lifecycle that enables the execution and leadership of BA responsibilities without assistance; proactively contributes to creation and continuous improvement of methodology.
  • Leadership - Actively participates in initiative conversations to drive gathering data requirements by asking questions and probing as needed to determine client data specifications. Leverages healthcare data background and experience to quickly adapt to new and complex initiatives in order to meet the demands of the organization. Demonstrates potential and desire to act as a team leader and or technical leader.
  • Relationship Management - Proactively seeks, develops and maintains a working relationship with the project group, customer, across IT and the enterprise; understands and delivers on the customer's agreed-upon expectations.

Minimum Experience Required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 5 + years' experience with systems analysis, data analysis and requirements gathering is required. Healthcare industry experience is a plus.

Required Skills

  • Must have a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer data and business needs and translate them into technical designs for loading and extracting data considering all downstream impacts for Claims, membership, provider look up, eligibility rules, program specifications.
  • Lead claims and member eligibility and provider network data requirement sessions, create logical data designs for developers
  • Possess a solid knowledge of a query language, and understand software design principles.
  • Solid understanding of data modeling design, data quality principles, source file data extraction, complex data transformation and load processes.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously is required.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of peers, managers, executives, and subject matter experts.
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation and support is required.
  • Must have capability and desire to mentor others.
