The ideal candidate will have experience with US GAAP accounting and reporting related to leases and fixed assets. The candidate needs to be able to work well with cross-functional teams providing guidance and making decisions as well as being able to perform detailed analysis while managing a significant portion of Facebooks lease and facility-related asset investments on our balance sheet. **Required Skills:** 1. Carry out month end close duties, such as record compilation, preparation of manual and system automated journal entries, financial transactions in general ledgers and sub-ledgers, manual journal entries, result analytics, account reconciliations, and internal and external reporting as needed 2. Draft various account analyses and reporting package under the instructions and supervision of the accounting managers 3. Research accounting implications of lease and facilities transactions or changes in the subject areas, reach conclusions with adequate level of rationale and documentation for review and communicate and present the accounting conclusions to the team 4. Leads/participates in complex projects including responsibility for IT system improvements at a tactical level that directly has an impact 5. Gain an understanding of the different focus areas of infrastructure investment including Facilities, Data Center, Fiber, Servers, Network and Storage and Infra Connectivity Programs and the associated accounting for each 6. Drive efficiencies in the financial close with an eye out for process improvement with the ability to work independently on complex accounting issues 7. Assist in the support for international entities compliance as it relates to lease accounting IFRS 16 8. Maintain and ensure compliance with all pertinent Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) documentation and requirements and automate reporting to help the business scale for future growth and assist with other duties as appropriate 9. Prepare accounting memos and update accounting policies in the subject areas 10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners to understand the broader business objectives, develop processes jointly and provide accounting guidance and best practice recommendations to enable process changes 11. Provide mentorship, coaching and guidance to team and lead special projects and other duties as assigned **Minimum Qualifications:** 12. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 13. 5+ years of financial statements auditing, financial accounting or similar experience 14. Experience with ASC842 Lease Accounting Standard which includes lease contract reviews, lease identification, classification, amendment/modification, facility asset life cycle accounting, recording, reporting, reconciliation and 10Q/K disclosure 15. Experience with fixed assets, compliance, internal controls over financial reporting 16. Experience analyzing large data sets and working with business partners to effect changes 17. Experience in optimizing or re-designing existing processes resulting from business needs **Preferred Qualifications:** 18. CPA 19. Public Accounting Experience 20. Experience with Oracle Financials and Hyperion 21. Experience with Co-Star Real Estate Manager 22.
