FieldCore has an opening for an individual to join our team. We have a small team of Buyers who support our client's Sourcing dept. We are looking to add a Buyer who will also have the role of Team Leader.

Buyer responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
-Utilize the client's pricing agreements wherever possible and blanket agreements negotiated by Sourcing Analysts
-Keep accurate records to support the purchase order
-Maintain on time delivery of material promise date
-Resolve pricing variance/updates on Pos as well as issue resolution
-Interact with other functions, GE team, and requestor community
-Assist internal Souring personnel in support of special projects as needed, or directed by the Manager of Sourcing
-Maintain confidentiality of information according to company guidelines
-Enter new vendor requests into the Aravo tool
-Vendor account reconciliations
-A/P processing/invoicing on a rotating team basis
-Perform blanket PO releases in SSS and corresponding A/P processing
-Perform mapping of electronic credit cards to POs, weekly and as requested by finance
-Administer the stockroom buyers queue

The best candidate for this position will possess the following:
-Leadership ability mentoring, delegating and ensuring team compliance
-Strong customer relationship skills, to include the ability to handle escalated client issues and handling difficult situations with tact and professionalism
-Excellent judgment, ability to adapt to changing requirements, ability to provide input on processes, offer process improvement ideas, etc.

Responsibilities may include:
-Ensure FieldCore team members are fully trained on all processes
-Ensure employees have the tools/training necessary to perform their job
-Review and arrange work schedules to ensure client coverage; assign projects as needed
-Ensure client expectations and service levels are being met
-Provide leadership & direction to FieldCore team members, while adhering to FieldCore policie
-Act as primary liaison with the Client, in absence of the Service Manager
-Assist with staffing the team, as necessary (including interviewing candidates and making recommendations for hiring or promotions within the team)
-Work with Service Manager in the areas of: performance management, disciplinary actions, hiring, terminations, etc.

Required qualifications:
-AS degree or 2-5 years of related sourcing/buyer experience
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to multi-task and work within a team environment, as well as individually
-Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
-Proficiency in MS Office-Outlook, Word & Excel
-Experience in Oracle preferred, specifically within the SSS purchasing system is a plus
-Punctuality and job commitment are critical
