First Help Financial is seeking a highly motivated professional to serve as a Principal Quality Assurance (QA) Lead. This individual will lead the Quality effort in one of our four scrum teams. You will own the testing strategy, the testing plan and the automation for the application. You will coordinate with your team members both on shore and off shore in getting the job done in a timely manner. This is an exciting position for a candidate who likes to lead, collaborate and still be fully hands-on. You will be a key contributor and will concentrate on the user needs, the technology and delivering the applications that will drive the growth of our business. This full-time position requires 40+ hours a week. Position Requirements: Interface with the product owners, scrum masters, developers to ensure correct business requirements and project plans Determine QA objectives by studying business specs; gathering information; evaluating backlog Identify project QA requirements/deliverables tied to project milestones and sprints Lead QA activities for projects, guide and mentor junior QA resources both in-house and offshore Drive automation of the application sprint-by-sprint Pair with developers to have rapid turnaround in a tdd style environment Facilitate project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports RequirementsCandidates applying for this role must have the following experience and skills: At least 5 years or more experience as a Senior QA Lead in an agile environment with experience in the financial industry a big plus. Testing Tools experience with Jira, Test Rails, Selenium is strongly desired, Java or Python for automation is also important. SQL experience and performance testing tools (Jmeter, Loadrunner) a big plus.
