What would I be doing?
  • Manage payroll for 300+ U.S. employees in a high growth environment
  • Approve payroll transactions and establish an effective approval process
  • Lead payroll efficiency & accuracy
  • Audit payroll transactions to ensure all amounts and payment dates are accurate
  • Train employees who are involved in payroll on tax regulations and best practices
  • Manage payroll discrepancies quickly and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state tax laws
  • Administer the Company s 401k Plan and other defined contribution plan with responsibilities including the annual 401k audit, timely and accurate enrollments, deposits and other transactions in DCPs, communication with 401k Investment Committee, Legal and HR teams for Plan and investment reviews, add ons, amendments, etc.
  • Oversee all processing and reporting related to equity awards, including all matters pertaining to the stock administration software with Morgan Stanley.
  • Administer the stock compensation awards options/ restricted stock units and related aspects with the vendor, including ensuring appropriate payroll tax withholdings, completeness of the transactions of the awards (grants, cancellations, exercises)
  • Provides assistance to inquiries and responds to payroll questions/concerns
  • Evaluate processes and look for process improvements opportunities to continue to support the growing organization, while maintaining sound internal controls
  • Strategize and plan for the expected growth in the US organization to ensure streamlined and controlled payroll processes
  • Manages U.S. payroll and benefits team and partners with Human Resources, other internal stakeholders, and external service providers
  • Develop materials and employee communications; conduct employee trainings
  • Work with external auditors and Finance team for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, as well as ensuring tight internal controls are in place and procedures are followed to satisfy periodic review of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Stay up-to-date with labor legislation and any changes in employee insurance and tax regulations
  • Oversee relevant systems (ADP, Fidelity and integrated with HCM, Stock Plan Administration system) including payroll, 401k administration and stock plan administration and related processes
  • Act as the payroll and benefits team lead for the Human Capital Management system implementation project
  • What would make me qualified?
  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent required
  • Masters or MBA preferred
  • 10 plus years of experience in payroll processing and benefits
  • Expert level knowledge of payroll/HR systems
  • Must have experience managing 401k and defined contribution benefit plans and strong understanding of 401k administration
  • Must have experience with stock plan administration
  • Experience with ADP payroll and Fidelity 401k administration a plus
  • Experience developing and presenting to executive level audience
  • High level of proficiency working with MS Office 365 Suite with strong Excel skills, experience developing complex analyses with VLookup, pivot tables and/or macros as needed
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to organize, prioritize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • CPP and/or SHRM certification preferred
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll and tax processing; international payroll is a plus
