Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work in a consultative fashion to ensure profitability and quality; setting clear expectations, controlling operating expenses, ensuring proper staffing levels for all virtual and branch locations, monitoring associate s service levels to ensure the traveler s experiences are optimized.
  • Provide effective coaching and leadership using a practical approach to Vacation Travel Team members, focusing on continuous employee development through training and targeted experiences that allows the associate to grow their career at Fox.
  • Create innovative ideas and solutions that assist in achieving business goals and inspire innovation by encouraging associates and customers to share ideas and suggestions creating a culture where customers and associates are Fox advocates.
  • Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency, persistence and accountability to take the actions to achieve results. Drive for results by influencing and engaging others.
  • Possess expertise on the full suite of agency products and tools, including ClientBase, Signature Travel Network technology and Apollo / SmartPoint. Market, industry& product knowledge Understands the industry key competitors, challenges, terminology, technology, trends and regulations.
  • Monitors and reports on strategic key performance indicators for vacation
  • Document standard operating procedures, monitor performance and compare to expected results
  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with preferred vendors to ensure assistance in resolving problems.
  • Focus on the Customer Foster a customer-centered culture where the customer perspective is central to thinking, discussions and decisions, and ensure delivery of exceptional value to the customer.
  • Meet on a pre-determined basis with key customers through focus groups to understand further client needs and trends in the vacation marketplace.
  • Meet in person weekly with Branch associates
  • Maintain a favorable and collaborative working relationship with co-workers in all departments to foster an environment of trust and mutual respect. Drive standards and best practices whenever possible and effectively foster a culture of engagement.
  • Enhance the organization s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Update knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks
  • Other duties, projects and alternate assignments as determined by business need
  • Weekly travel to territory branch locations is required. Some overnight travel is necessary for meetings and conferences.

Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities
  • 5+ years progressive leadership experience preferably within the travel industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong process analysis, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Expert level knowledge of front office functions (ClientBase)
  • GDS proficiency, Travelport Smartpoint and Apollo preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and demonstrated proficiency of all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to communicate with confidence
  • Possess effective listening skills with ability to determine root cause quickly, check for shared understanding and address misunderstandings promptly
  • Self-motivated; demonstrate initiative with a strong commitment to personal goals, objectives and work ethic
