Overnight Call Specialists
The Mental Health Association of Frederick County is seeking Overnight Call Specialists to staff our 24/7 Call Center. The positions are generally 24-32 hours per week. This is a critical, life-saving service providing information and referral, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention to Western Maryland. Bachelor’s degree and/or call center experience preferred. Weekends and holidays are required. EOE.

Medical Director
The Mental Health Association of Frederick County seeks a Child and/or Adult PMHNP or psychiatrist to join their team of Social workers and Professional counselors as Medical Director for our OMHC. MHA is a private non-profit. We offer paid malpractice insurance and competitive salary. Qualified candidates must be board eligible and possess a current license to practice in Maryland at the time of appointment. Board certification is strongly preferred. EOE.

Contractual Therapist
Responsible for evaluating and treating clients in individual family or group sessions, maintaining timely, accurate case records and providing referral services when appropriate for potential and current clients. Some evening time required. Minimum qualifications: LGPC or LMSW.

Crisis Specialist-Part Time
Part-time crisis specialist at community based walk-in crisis center. Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in mental health or related human services field and 1 year experience in crisis service (crisis call center, walk-in program, hospital emergency department, mobile crisis service) required. This position is considered essential personnel. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed. Be able to integrate into a strong, established team to help anyone experiencing a crisis find support and community resources.experience and ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays is a must. PT Security Monitor
The Mental Health Association of Frederick County is seeking a PT Security Monitor. This position is responsible for screening clients, monitoring the premises of the Community Services Wing and immediate areas to detect suspicious activity, assisting volunteers and staff, and ensuring the safety of users of The Visitation Center and MHA property. Must be 21 years of age, pass a Criminal Justice Investigation Search, Child Protection Services Background check and have a reliable means of transportation; Previous work experience related to the position is preferred. Evening and weekend hours are required. EOE.

Full-Time Bilingual Family Resource Specialist (FRS) and Family Support Specialist (FSS)
Healthy Families Frederick, a program of the Mental Health Association, has a full time dual role position as a bi-lingual Family Resource Specialist/Family Support Specialist who will serve the Latino families within the community. The program is designed to support first-time parents and children ages 0-5.
The Family Resource Specialist (FRS) is responsible for completing assessments with parents to determine eligibility for home visitation services and to connect the family with needed resources and referrals. The Family Support Specialist (FSS) is responsible for initiating and maintaining regular and long term contact/support with families, demonstrating sensitivity to the needs of families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. This contact will occur primarily within the family’s home. The FSS will also be responsible for assisting the family in establishing goals as well as the assessment of the normal growth and development of the target child.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: An AA in Social/Human Services and/or Early Childhood field. Home visiting experience preferred. Applicant must possess computer skills, a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation and be fluent with the ability to speak, read and write in Spanish. Pay will be commensurate with experience and will be between $15/17.50 per hour. EOE

Part-Time Site Supervisor
The Mental Health Association of Frederick County is seeking a part-time Site Supervisor for approximately 20-25 hours per week. This is a supervisory role responsible for the smooth operation of the Supervised Visitation and Monitored Exchange Center. The Site Supervisor monitors volunteers/observers, room assignments, and the paperwork related to The Visiting Center and provides direct client services. A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Early Childhood Education or a related field of study and/or two years’ related experience. Must be available to work weekday evenings, all day Sundays, and attend bi-weekly/monthly staff meetings and volunteer training sessions. EOE.
