This position is responsible for the analysis, functional design and implementation of business interfaces to support Fresenius Kidney Care cross-functional business operations and IT organizations strategic interoperability vision.


  • The position combines knowledge of data usage, business process management and application management strategy to advance and support enterprise integration across the technical business landscape. To be successful this position requires:

  • Solid analytical skills to interpret and design the flow of data between applications to support a business process activity. This assessment includes both enabling the data flow and vetting out solutions to deal with information and process flow exceptions related to the integration.

  • Adhere to audit documentation practices to ensure the information integration preserves the data definition and quality through the integration life cycle. This documentation includes the authoring of user stories, functional interface documentation, source to target mapping including data transformation rules, data flow diagrams and system context diagrams.

  • Defines and manages project deliverables for systems integration solutions and specific project assignments

  • Maintains analytical competency required to support integration projects deliverables and to support the integration environment with the alignment of the functional designs to the selected integration strategy.

  • Analyzes integrations requests and leads; recommends, coordinates and implements complex cross systems solutions for data integration projects within FMC, and with other healthcare partners;

  • Provides leadership in the identification of requirements to evolve the integration environment tools with business and IT design sessions, development of user stories / functional requirements, defining and managing proof of concept activities to validate the integration requests.

  • Utilizes FMC project and functional integration design standards and procedures to ensure consistent delivery and information exchange quality in all projects

  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; Advanced Degree desirable

  • 5 - 8 years of Integration Systems Analysis and Definition experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated skills in designing and implementing application system information interchange solutions including the authoring of functional specifications, Source to Target data mappings, data flow diagrams and system context diagrams.
  • Requires the systems analyst to have business and data analytical skills associated with connecting a business process to its critical data set within an applications or partners database to support the request.
  • Requires understanding of data delivery mechanisms (ETL, Message Services, API, FTP, EDI) and key data delivery formats (HL7, FHiR, XML, CDA)
  • Previous experience in a large healthcare or other business conglomerate supporting cross functional business system data flow analysis across a multi-application and partner landscape.
  • Knowledge of data base table schemas, data structures and data query skills (SQL / Toad)
  • Experience with database Queries (SQL/Toad) for the purpose of defining interfaces.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on consensus building;
  • Strong Coordination, facilitation, consultation and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written required.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and process analysis skills are essential.
