About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced professional to grow FTI Consulting'sInternational Arbitration practice in New York, New York. FTI Consulting'sInternational Arbitration practice prepares expert testimony on damages in thecontext of complex, high value disputes around the world. Managing Directorsare the emerging leaders of the practice, acting in a senior role on projectsfor Senior Managing Directors as well as developing their own projects andprofile in the marketplace. Strong project management and client-facing skillsare a pre-requisite, as well as an ability to develop and coach emerging seniorstaff. Qualified candidates will possess a relevant advanced degree and/orprofessional qualification and at least 8 years work experience in thefield.

Primary Duties:

* Project management, supervisionand direction of mid-level and junior staff

* Client management in thecontext of engagements

* Drafting of expert reports fordelivery before arbitral tribunals

* New business generation

* Generation of ideas andhypotheses to drive research and analysis

* Authorship ofthought-leadership articles on relevant topics

* Professional development ofstaff at all levels, mentoring of mid-level professionals

* Developing and delivering highquality internal training

* Willingness to travel ? up to20%

Qualifications:

* Master's or Ph.D. in Economicsor Finance

* Minimum 8 years of experiencein dispute advisory consulting

PreferredSkills:

* Ability to quickly assimilaterelevant information in unfamiliar situations

* Ability to develop creativeapproaches and solutions necessary to resolve complex problems

* Excellent listening, verbal,written, and presentation skills

* Excellent analytical skills

* Proficient in Microsoft OfficeSuite programs

* Proficiency in foreignlanguages preferred but not mandatory
