Positions Objective & Summary:
Intuitive Surgical Inc. and its subsidiaries (Intuitive), the manufacturer of the daVinci Surgical Robot, have increased their presence/support in China and Taiwan through expansion in commercial operations. The Sr. Commercial Operations Manager reports to the VP Commercial Distribution / Asia Commercial Operations and will be responsible for supporting the Intuitive Surgical direct organization in Taiwan and joint venture in China. Core responsibilities will be focused on supporting the commercial sales team, while in parallel supporting, other work functions where necessary in these markets. This involves identifying and utilizing ISI resources to support the commercial teams in driving results, and developing, implementing and supporting applicable ISI business processes. The position requires a number of attributes including expert-level knowledge of ISI clinical sales processes, expert technical knowledge of da Vinci technology, the ability to build a team of advocates within an organization, and strong solution selling skills. She/He will be expected to provide high level of communication internally and externally, work across multiple business units cross-functionally, create actionable information for Executive Leadership, and help the team drive quarterly/annual business results and objectives. In addition, he/she should be expert in customer interactions with da Vinci material and gathering customer feedback.
Roles & Responsibilities:
This position has responsibility and authority for:
Provide support and training to all relevant ISI employees, representatives, and Joint Venture employees in developing and implementing all aspects of the clinical business and procedures, as well as, the capital sales process with existing customers.
Educate and implement all sales and marketing tools.
Effectively outline metrics involved in the initial sales and installation of da Vinci programs to drive procedural volume and growth.
Work closely with all relevant ISI departments located in Sunnyvale, Atlanta and global offices, including Strategy, Marketing and Corporate Communications to implement new programs as supported by local leadership.
Ensure disciplined reporting on the evolution of the local business
Work closely with ISI and Sales Training department to develop and support sales training strategy and activities including CAST.
In collaboration with ISI and Customer Training departments, organize and coordinate surgeon training activities utilizing the Technical Training Pathway (TTP) for new and existing surgeons.
Identify and assist with developing regional strategy to support the adoption of da Vinci surgery.
Participate in field visits to understand market dynamics, and support to provide coaching and bring value to customers to support the adoption of da Vinci surgery.
Develop strategy and implementation of National and Regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), reference and epicenters.
